About Coco Coders

Award-winning live online coding classes for children aged 6 to 14, taught by expert teachers in small groups. At Coco Coders, we do more than teach kids to code. Since 2016, we've helped more than 25,000 children in the UK, the US and around the world build the creativity, problem-solving and collaboration skills they need for a high-tech future.Learning that feels like playChildren build their own games and animations in creative themes, from magic, space and detectives to art, music, fashion and sport. Our spiral curriculum keeps coming back to core concepts such as loops, variables, conditions and functions in new ways, so skills stick and confidence grows.A clear path from block-based to text-based codingYounger children usually start with block-based coding in Scratch, and older children begin with text-based languages. From there, students progress to Python, then JavaScript, HTML and CSS. We group children with peers of a similar age and experience. Parents get regular feedback on what their child is working on and how they're getting on.A safe, welcoming space for every childOur teachers are vetted and Coco-trained. They include school teachers, software developers and computer science graduates. Every lesson is a safe space where all children are welcomed, supported and encouraged to share their ideas. Small classes mean every child gets personal attention, and our teachers are trained to support neurodiverse learners. Private one-to-one lessons are also available.AI literacy for the next generationOur AI Adventurers course teaches children aged 10 to 12 how AI works, what it's good and bad at, and how to use it safely and responsibly.Flexible by designThere's no contract or minimum term, and if your child misses a lesson, a recording is there for them to catch up.Start now at 50% off and see why kids love learning with Coco.

The preparations for the lessons wasn’t good enough. The email instructions wasn’t clear to follow and there was no mention of paying £17 for the Minecraft Java edition for a one-off trial until we logged on. The class was disorganised.

Hi Emeka, We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are always looking for ways to improve our services and so gaining customer feedback is always valuable. We're sorry to hear that you felt you needed to purchase a Minecraft license. We don't actually use any version of Minecraft in our free Taster Sessions, which your child took part in, or our Weekly Lessons, which the Taster Sessions are an introduction for. The program that your child used in this session was a free program called p5.js, which uses the Javascript language. Our team is looking into this for you, as we'd like to understand at what point this miscommunication occurred. If you would be happy to share any further information around this, so that we can understand, then we'd really appreciate it. I'm also of course very sorry that you felt the lesson was disorganised. We really do feel lucky to have some incredible teachers who deliver our lessons and so I can assure you that this would have very much been an exception and not the norm. I can see that you have a second child booked in for another free taster session soon. I really do hope that they still attend as I'm sure you'll experience the level of service that we pride ourselves in. Thank you again, Jonny & The Cypher Team

My daughter (age 5/6) loves the club
My daughter (age 5/6) loves the club. The only thing I’d like, is more info about exactly what they do in the sessions and what they are learning. Also if there is nothing we can do at home similar to continue the learning journey.
