AAA Stands for Absolutely Awful Accountability.
Extremely disappointing experience with AAA. On 8/21/26, my car battery died, leaving me stranded without transportation. I called AAA to purchase a replacement battery, only to be told after waiting an hour that service would take another 12 hours to arrive. When I contacted AAA to explain that I couldn’t wait 12 hours, a representative assured me that if I purchased a battery out of pocket, I would be reimbursed. I relied on that promise, purchased the battery myself, and later had my reimbursement denied because AAA no longer provides free batteries to Premier members. I never asked for a free battery. I purchased one myself based on AAA’s promise of reimbursement. After multiple phone calls and repeatedly explaining this simple distinction, AAA denied my claim again. I pay for AAA specifically for situations like this. Being left stranded, given an unreasonable service wait time, promised reimbursement, and then denied based on a policy that has nothing to do with my situation is unacceptable. AAA’s failure to honor what its representative told me has completely undermined my trust in the company. Think twice before assuming AAA will stand behind what its customer service representatives promise. I expected dependable emergency assistance and accountability, but received neither.
