A COSTLY, FRUSTRATING, AND DEEPLY DISAPPOINTING BUSINESS EXPERIENCE
I strongly caution any restaurant owner, entrepreneur, or investor considering CloudKitchens to thoroughly investigate this company before signing an agreement or committing a single dollar.
Our actual experience was dramatically different from what we believed we were being sold.
1. Misleading Expectations and Disappointing Sales Representations
2. Excessive Fees and an Extremely Difficult Business Model
3. Technology Failures and Otter POS Problems
4. Unacceptable Kitchen Conditions and Operational Disruptions
5. Poor Communication, Inadequate Support, and Lack of Accountability
6. A Disorganized and Frustrating Brand Transfer Process
7. Questionable Charges Even After We Closed
8. Contractual Terms That Heavily Favor CloudKitchens
9. Other Operators Have Reported Similar Concerns
10. The Financial and Emotional Cost

DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM
If you’re considering this. DON’T. They pray on SMB that are looking to start up AND TAKE EVERY LAST DOLLAR YOU MAKE. Im still in contract with them , and cant wait for this bullshit to end. the good reviews here are 1000% bought by incentivizing operators

Such a terrible experience -- RUN DONT WALK
The good reviews on here were incentivized. For every 5 star review we were awarded $50. Cloud Kitchens leveraged the personal relationships employees had in the facilities to have operators do them a favor. Fraud is the best word I could use.
Such a terrible experience. Constant change in leadership. New rules every other day. Under qualified management with a lot of opinions but no action. Unless you are desperate for a job, run the other way. I had to maintain a file of documentation that spanned over 4 years. It's a very interesting story. One example: Imagine being forced to go to a summit across the country and then to a bowling alley that had racist policies. They are getting rid of all African Americans, outside of the grunt workers. Leadership has completely been whitewashed.
If you are looking to license a kitchen, read the kitchen services agreement. They are very one sided and predatory. Poor ethics that should be criminal. They take your deposit, bill you before you start and then lock you out if you are 10 days late.

IF YOU’RE CONSIDERING THIS, JUST DON’T 👎👎
If I could give them ZERO stars I would. I have filed complaints with the California State Attorney General, Florida State Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. If you’re planning to start your new food business, based on my personal experience, I would recommend that you STAY AWAY from this place!

My experience with Cloud has been horrific
My experience with Cloud has been absolutely horrible, and the biggest issue is the disconnect between what you are told by the sales team when they are trying to get you through the door and what actually happens once they have your signature and your money. The sales process makes everything sound easy, accommodating, and business-friendly, but once you commit financially, the experience can feel completely different. At that point, you are no longer dealing with the person who sold you the dream—you are dealing with a revolving door of employees, different departments, changing answers, and people who seem far less interested in solving problems than they were in getting the contract signed. That high turnover alone is concerning because it creates a constant cycle of having to explain your business, your agreement, and your problems to somebody new. From a customer’s perspective, it can feel like nobody stays around long enough to take responsibility for what was promised. And that is what makes the sales process so frustrating: when you are trying to build a legitimate business, you are making decisions based on representations made to you before you sign. You trust that the person sitting across from you understands what they are selling and is giving you accurate information. But when those representations suddenly become “misunderstandings” after you have paid thousands of dollars and committed your business to the facility, you are the one left holding the bag. That is not a partnership. That is a sales funnel. Get the business owner excited, get the contract signed, collect the money, and then let the customer figure out how to navigate the problems afterward. For a company selling commercial kitchen space to entrepreneurs, that is especially disturbing because they know their customers are not buying a gym membership or a casual subscription—they are making major business decisions involving equipment, employees, inventory, permits, production, customers, and serious financial commitments. When the information you receive before signing does not match the reality after signing, the consequences can be enormous. And when you start seeing constant staff turnover, inconsistent communication, and a lack of accountability, it becomes very difficult to believe that the customer experience is actually the priority. My experience has left me feeling that Cloud is much better at selling the opportunity than actually supporting the businesses once they are inside the door. If you are considering signing with them, do not rely on the sales pitch. Get EVERYTHING in writing. Verify every representation independently. Ask exactly who is responsible when something goes wrong. Read every fee, restriction, and termination provision. And most importantly, do not assume that because a salesperson tells you something confidently, it will still be true after you hand over your money. I went into this expecting a facility partner. What I experienced was a company where getting you in the door seemed to matter far more than what happened to you once you were there.

Watch Out for this Company
This place misrepresents how much food businesses will make in sales then traps them into CRAZY expensive leases that are not even close to the going market rate for kitchen space. I give them less than zero stars. This is a predatory practice.

Scam!!
Scam!!! They will take your deposit and sell your kitchen equipment once they evict you!!! They don’t market for the restaurants, it’s all on you. Their social media marketing sucks! They only cater to the corporate restaurant brands. Their billing is a mess and super unprofessional!! I was overcharged for months and now they are unavailable to discuss. It’s a trap for a small restaurant business and I’ve watched soo many businesses come and lose everything. My location has 5 kitchens open out of 22. That should tell you everything. I could go on and on!! Save your money and your sanity!
Ps. ALL THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE FAKE!!!

In Detroit
In Detroit, I don’t think this is the right concept. It does not work. I was running Cloud Kitchen for one year and I lost over 100,000. I was getting 2 to 3 orders a day. It’s very hard to market your place. They don’t even let you put a sign in out front and the sign they let you put a front. It’s very small sign and they charge for everything.. and it’s pretty difficult to work with Cloud Kitchen team
