This company tried to put me on a yearly subscription. I asked for a monthly subscription. The app does not work. I can not put information into it. Then you try to cancel what you did not order they get pist. Their website is famous for trying to trick the customer into paying for what they don’t want. I’m coming for my money. Oh they want to block your own banking institutions so you can’t get your money back.

Been paying for this for over 6 months and have zero reduction in spam calls, only thing happening now is cloaked is intercepting them and now i get 100 cloaked notifications a day and then some important calls get blocked as well.

I expected something for several hundred dollars. I got more spam mail now than ever before. I’m thinking they got my information & sold it, or gave it away to the dark web. After I “signed up” I paid for a year’s subscription, they asked to to download an app, their own special app is another monthly subscription! Then I need to “set up” my phone in a number of other ways for them, or other parties to perform special services that might provide some “cleaning up” in the dark web. Their answering machine was AI, absolutely no help, i called multiple times, never talked to a person. I left messages, no return calls. If someone spends money on this rip off, power to you. I’m looking for something that actually works.

I was getting around 25 spam emails a day. Immediately after getting cloaked I began getting 250+ spam emails a day. I tried to cancel and they wouldn’t help. I tried to dispute the charge and my bank sided with cloaked. I have no choice but to get a new email and cancel the one I have had for30 years.

In attempting to cancel my subscription with Cloaked, after 12 emails with “Kit” the AI contact, nothing was accomplished. 12??? Utter waste of my time! Trustpilot review prompted action! Issue appears to be resolved - awaiting promised refund.

For a company that claims to be all about stopping companies from collecting, storing and selling ones data, curiously seems to be in bed with Google and Branch Metrics for the express purpose of doing just that...collecting your data through their app. Proof is in the proverbial pudding with DuckDuckGo's App Tracking Protection (1385 attempts blocked 8 hours ago).

Literally worst app ever. I have sent messages to Cloaked because I do not want to use call guard at all. I have significant medical issues and can't afford to miss a call from my doctors office. The app says "finish call guard set up" and the bot said: "Ahh, that actually explains it 👍 If the screen says “Set up Call Guard”, that means it’s not active on your phone yet. So there’s nothing to turn off. You’re already in the right place — you can just leave it as is and not go through the setup. Your calls will continue to work normally. The “Deactivate Call Guard” option only appears after it’s been fully set up, which is why you’re not seeing it right now. So in short: you’re good — no action needed 👍" My husband is on the road and has been trying to call me and it's completely blocked by Cloaked. He is a contact IN MY PHONE. What happens when the doctor calls me to tell me it's time for surgery and I completely miss it? Save your money you guys. It's so awful.

This is a follow-up review of Cloaked, to completely call them out as LIARS and refute their response to my original review. Several reviewers, including me, have pointed out that we started to sign up with Cloaked and provided our contact information, but then halfway through the signup process, decided to abort and NOT become Cloaked customers. Within an hour of two, I and other reviewers got barraged by an onslaught of spam texts at a volume never before received. We called out Cloaked as passing on our contact information illegally, in the same way an exterminator would dump boxes of termites in your home after rejecting their services, in order to "force" you to come back and sign up to fix the problem that Cloaked has now created. Cloaked has replied to all of us to "Read our policy! We would never sell anyone's information!" TOTAL horse crap. How else to explain INSTANT onslaught of NEW spam, within one hour (for me) of aborting sign up of Cloaked? As stated in my earlier review, I am pursuing legal action and have contacted my state Attorney General, as well as the Department of Justice at the federal level. It's time for a class action lawsuit as well as criminal punishment for these scumbag criminals. They are liars, par excellance "We don't sell anyone's information, read our policy". Their policy and statements mean nothing, and I am not the only reviewer here to point out an onslaught of new spam (I now receive up to THIRTY MORE PER DAY) within one hour of rejecting Cloaked's service. It is my mission in life to see that Cloaked's business is CROAKED. Total criminals and liars.
