What was best about this program is how easy it made introducing the revenue and billing cycle through videos. It was a nice way to start off understanding the entire concept. The challenge was more was needed to pass the NHA exam. The NHA had questions that were not in either the Clinical Skills Institute material nor the NHA source material provided. Some questions on the NHA exam required field experience, others were vague, unclear, unspecific, or tricky with English. Take your own notes and memorize details. The practice exams provided through the NHA were useful to get an idea of what areas you need to sharpen and research harder.

I would recommend Clinical Skills Institute to anyone who is interested in their CCMA licensing. This website is really excellent! They have great resources available like downloadable guides, videos, info note pages, practice exams, quizzes, and so much more to help study. On top of all this they have excellent prices compared to everyone else I’ve seen by more than half. Included in their price is the exam itself, additional textbooks, and practice tests. Also they have such an easy to use service and website. It is great on phones, laptops, and tablets. Highly recommend for anyone who’d ask.

The course was decent. It was only $900 which was definitely the best part, but a lot of the course content felt like it may have been written by AI and was not edited super well. Especially in the anatomy and body system chapters, there were parts that were very under explained and had specific medical vocabulary about symptoms and illnesses the reader was expected to know, while other sections of the course literally explained what a noun was and how to write an email. Sometimes a chapter was also unnecessarily repetitive with the same information. My other qualm is that the promised externship support was not super helpful for me. The program provided a list of clinics in my area to call and a script I could use to try and get an externship, and I reached out to every place they gave me as well as a few others and was unable to find an externship. This isn't the program's fault, but just know that the help they provide is limited. All that said, I learned what I needed to from this course and passed my CCMA exam. I do not have a job yet, but I am a full time student and am seeking something part time which I think is harder to find as someone with no experience. Overall I do recommend this course. It worked well for me as a college student who is a biochemistry major and already had background knowledge on some of the subjects covered. If you don't know anything about medicine/ biology/ anatomy, I think this course may not prepare you for the exam super well and you would need to find supplemental materials. But if you do have that background knowledge this was a great and relatively inexpensive way to prepare for and earn the CCMA certification.

Clinical Skills Institute gives you all the information and resources you need to do well. You have to make sure you apply yourself since there isn’t a teacher. I loved being able to do it on my own time.

I took the clinical skills Institute (CSI) CCMA course and it took me about three months to finish and study for the exam. I started the class mid June and took the NHA exam end of August. I think I finished going through each chapter like exactly three months on the dot after I started in June. Then I spent two weeks re-studying all the notes I took and hadn’t looked back on in months so I was able to take the exam August 31st. But for context this short timeline was easy to do cause I just finished college and don’t have a job right now. The class was very helpful because you can go through the notes online or download a PDF of the notes. CSI also makes their own flashcards for you to use, but I just made my own through Quizlet. There were very few things that I didn’t know when I was taking the NHA practice exams so I would say CSI prepared me very well for the mock exams and the real one. CSI pays for you to have access to the official NHA practice exams after you finish the modules and there’s like 6 exams in total so it’s a great chance to simulate test day and find your weak spots. I passed the NHA certification exam on my first try, which they also pay for. I got a 85% (427/500) on the exam and lowkey while I took it I thought I was doing kind of bad so I think taking the clinical skills class , studying the notes you take, and taking the NHA practice exams is more than enough to help you pass. I also took one practice exam that CSI made but I did not find it as helpful as the actual NHA practice exams. I recommend using them like a question bank that lets you get more practice in and less as a representation of what you would score on an actual NHA test. The NHA practice exams are much more accurate (obviously)

Clinical skills institute made getting my CCMA so easy. I love that it is all online and at my own pace especially with me having a full time job and 3 little ones to raise. It had every section so easily portioned out and I loved the practice test. I also liked that i did not have to pay extra to take the NHA and by the end I was certified.
