To clarify, your order was for our cut-and-sew panel rugby shirt, which is built to be lightweight and versatile. If you were looking for something comparable to a Barbarian jersey, we also offer a knitted heavyweight rugby line that’s designed for that classic, chunky feel - but that wasn’t the product you purchased (you purchased our Watson, the Byron is the one it sounds like you actually wanted). Every Clifton item is individually made to order, so comparing a 1-piece custom build to a mass-produced stock item at retail pricing isn’t really like-for-like. To clarify for others reading: all pricing is published upfront, with clear quantity-based discounts. In this case, the final unit price changed only because the group didn’t meet the expected order volume — a situation we flagged early and offered several ways to resolve. Additional charges were only applied in response to order changes made after payment, not as hidden fees. We take care to explain these, but we’ll review this case to ensure communication was as clear as it should’ve been. All our customer service is handled via email so we can maintain a reliable record of all conversations — and our team responded to your queries promptly with options at every stage. As stated on our website, we manufacture via trusted partners globally, including in China, to offer the best value while maintaining high standards. We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with the logo placement on the drop sleeve style. As Greg mentioned, we’ve double-checked the final garment against your approved order pack, and the placement was exactly as signed off prior to production. The visual difference you’ve noted is due to the different sleeve constructions — raglan and drop sleeve cuts position the chest panel slightly differently when worn, which can affect how the logo appears. We completely understand your desire for both items to match more closely, and we appreciate your feedback.
