Being able to restore my market value and participation.
With the interest rates starting to climb, I wanted to keep the interest rate from being a killer on my house. In Nov 2008, I negotiated to have our house built at 6%. Within several years, I was able to refinance the house with getting an interest rate of 2.25%. When I reached 64, I was let go from my company and was unable to obtain gainful employment. I had to do a Chap 7 bankruptcy use to the lack of permanent employment. As the value of the house went up in value to $420K, I figured it was time to collect on the equity growth. I was still in the 24 month window of Bankruptcy limitation. Anthony Dimora called me up about 10 days before the 24 months was completed. He got everything set up so that after the Chap 7 limitation was concluded, we could do the equity refinance, which we did.
