My razor blades were delivered to me in a rather timely fashion and there were no issues. However, I will he looking for alternate means of deliver since the s&h was double what the blades cost me.

I'm a black man with concerns about shaving too close. So, when I considered a mail order service and found Classic Shaving it was a no brainer. The larger well known services don't offer safety razors and the one that caters to black men didn't have any variety to their products. I'm very happy with the razor that I chose as well as the gel/cream. I'm looking forward to trying the different creams to find out what I like best. Thanks, again!

BLUF: The issue is fixed, I love the razor, but issue could have been handled better. The first (Hart 7/8) razor arrived with a defect in the blade. It had what looked like a crack or large gouge. I called for a replacement and they asked me to send a picture first. I sent a picture and they provided a return shipping label. However, they did not send a replacement immediately. They waited to get the defective razor, inspect it and then sent out a replacement. By the time they received the defective razor, I was leaving town for two weeks in four days on Friday. I called and told them I was leaving town and did not want the razor arriving after I left. They said they would send Tuesday priority mail. They sent it Wednesday First Class. It was in my mail when I returned. This razor blade was fine, however the scales were cracked by the pin. They said there are normal superficial cracks in wood and they would send replacement scales if I wanted. I am a woodworker and know when wood is cracked. I asked for new scales and the said they do not have the same wood available (cocobolo). They could send another wood. I received the new scales (rosewood) a week later. Neither razor was "shave ready." I am still tuning the edge, not what I would expect from a $320 razor touted to be shave ready.

Prompt delivery. Arrived within days. Overall good product. However some minor issues need to be mentioned. I odered a Hart Steel 6/8 straight razor with maple scales. Maple scales in the picture are way different from the maple scales I got. No doubt it is maple but the color and texture are different. The one in the picture has yellowish maple with characteristic stripes (you find them in high end maple guitars too). The one I got has a deep reddish tint to it and no stripes with somewhat of a porous texture. Since maple is a natural product, I understand the color/ texture variation. Secondly, there is a small blemish or oxidation spot right under the Hart Steel logo. Probably something that can be sanded out but did not expect from a brand new razor. Other than that the razor performed well for the first time after stropping. Classic shaving did an excellent job fulfilling my order except those minor issues. Please inspect the product before shipping and try to make sure the description somewhat matches the shipped item. Having said all that I would definitely buy again from Classic Shaving.
