This was my third order over several years (3-4). Just like my first order it was accurate, packaged very well and shipped fast. Beings I am at an APO I was surprised to receive my order in 5 days from the shipping date. Also, I had ordered a "set", I was a little concerned about the DE safety razor with the set, based on other reviews, I wanted to upgrade to a different safety razor but was unable to do so on their site. Not knowing if it was a computer/ Internet glitch I immediately contacted C/S the following morning when they opened via phone. I was pleasantly greeted even though their phone line had just opened. I provided my order number to the C/S representative, from the previous evening, and explained at I was attempting to do i.e. upgrade the initial razor that came with the set to what I actually wanted. The C/S representative expressed that this is not normally something they do and explained to me I would have to pay the additional price difference, which I fully intended to anyhow. For C/S to go above and beyond was excellent. However I would like to see the ability to mix and match products, via a drop down menu, if ordering a set/ gift basket, but this is not a deal breaker with me as I had great C/S. The products I got the Merkur "Hefty Classic" Safety Razor 34C with Feather DE blades is great, at least for me. Will continue to order from classic shaving.com as my needs require.

I purchased a Parker 89 R safety razor with feather hi stainless steel platinum double edge blades 10 pack a little over a week ago.I was curious about trying a different type of shaver many disposablesI had used in the last few years just couldn't give the closest shave I needed.I remember my dad having a safety razor back in 1960's and it look unique in kind of nostalgia like, and I was just wondering maybe if this may give a closer shave so I purchased one from Classic CS shaving.after a few days shaving with razor I couldn't believe how close the shave was.maybe in a few more months I will try a straight edge razor. I have learn and,read it even gives a closer shave.but then again I will have to learn a whole new technique but if the results come out great it'll be great to switch from one to the other every once in awhile.

Safety razor blades stay sharp over multiple shaves. Shaving soap pucks are *very* economical (The Christmastime "Nice" 4-pack may last until Christmas 2015!). A bit of poetic licence is used in describing shaving soap scents, which don't last to the last lather. Overall, I'm a very satisfied repeat customer.

I don't usually review business' but I will make an exception in this case because of extraordinary service and courtesy displayed by Classicshaving. I received my order quickly and securely packaged. One item was glass, so I was particularly pleased with the obvious care shown in this regard! Also, this product was flammable, so I am used to long wait times in transit. My order must have left on the very same day it was received, I was taken by surprise when I found it so immediately in my mail. What excellent service! I will use Classicshaving again.

Classic Shaving has provided me with a wonderful Hart Steel razor. The Hart company produces an Artisan blade that is handmade from tip to tail by a single person devoted to their art of fashioning the cold steel to a useful blade. Mine is a 5/6" round nose blade with a bright finish covered over by a black resin single piece scale. Superb. It is at once a beautiful piece of art with form flowing into function. To keep her in top notch performance Classic also provided me a Mountain Mike strop in black leather with chrome steel fittings and a linen back strop.

My husband is an avid razor shaver. He has a heavy beard that is often tricky and sometimes requires two shaves if we go out in the evening.. Last Christmas I gave him a new razor and bought travel shave cream as well as a travel razor to make life easier for him. He has raved about the soap from Classic Shaving - said it is the best he has ever used. So this Christmas have bought him a tube of shave cream to go on a planned trip to Europe. Nice that he can look like he has just had a barber shop shave. Thanks ClassicShaving
