I have tried a couple other shaving soaps and have been relatively happy with the results. I thought I would try some others just to see what differences there are among soaps. I tried the ClassicShaving soap and was not impressed. When lathering up, it allowed way too much air into the lather & created bubbles which I could actually see in the lather. I would compare it to filling a glass half full of milk & allowing my 7 yr old child to take a straw & blow in the milk creating bubbles. The airy lather did not provide a smooth wet shaving surface. I ended up with some cuts on my face which I normally do not get, especially after using the blade 2-3 times. The only reason I did not give it a 1 star is that I was relatively able to make it usable after adding some baby lotion when lathering up. After ordering online & paying the shipping, in my mind, now I have a nice $10 puck of bath soap.

I loathe waking from my bed but the upside is having the opportunity to use classic shaving.

My first shave with a double edge safety razor is the best I've ever had. No nicks, cuts or razor burn. Just let the weight of the razor do the work. My only regret is that I didn't switch to "old school" sooner.
