The service was very good but felt…
The service was very good but felt CitizensShippers part was expensive. I did not find on the website where they were going to charge $180. for the service.

Citizen Shipper made it very easy to find help on short notice
Citizen Shipper made it very easy to connect with available pet shippers for my move from Louisiana to New York. I feel that the processing fees are a bit high and I'm still not totally sure what it included. Nonetheless, the shipper I worked with was fantastic and I had a no-hassle interaction. I will probably book directly with that shipper next time if I ever needed it.

Great Driver Experience
Jayla handled all of my questions and maintained great communication. Kira was very pleasant and ensured that my pup was delivered just fine. Five stars for them. The reason that this is a four star is that Citizen Shipper was not up front with the inflated $200 hidden fee.

Lots of connections
Best part about the site is that I got lit up by 50 different shippers with bidding, so I got a contract that was right for me and it worked out great!

My overall experience was good. Everything from posting my listing to making my payment was pretty easy to navigate. My only dislikes were that I would have preferred to pay the full quoted amount when I booked my transport. I didn't realize until 2 days later that I still had to pay my driver on delivery. I was working on the assumption that the quoted price was what I was charged and I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. In the event that I wasn't able to be home myself to receive my pet, I wouldn't be comfortable leaving cash or my credit card with my neighbor who would just be trying to do me a favor and receive my pet because I wasn't available.

Shipper was great, service fees excessive
I think the service was great, and our shipper was great to work with, and charged a reasonable rate. But, citizen shipper charged a fee that I felt was extremely outrageous, and based on mileage, when their service had nothing to do with the mileage of the shipment. I think a flat booking fee would be appropriate, but to gouge a $200 fee for a transport seems excessive.
