Great

I had a great experience overall, the bids were extremely fast but there are a lot of automated bids that dont actually give you a price and there are some that offer you a service you specifically didn't ask or qualify for but if you just use your gut instincts and common sense its easy to weed those out. Read the reviews!! Seriously the reviews will tell you the most at the end of the day these are private citizens transporting your pet, not an actual company this is more of a marketplace to find them. I had a great experience with Whitney aka CoveredByGrace she was really kind, efficient, professional, affordable and I felt she really cared about my dog. If I ever have to transport again I would reach out to her first. I was a bit shocked to see how much the website charges as a fee that isn't included in the bid, I do think it should be lowered quite a bit, it shouldn't be calculated by mileage as there isn't any more risk on their end rather its 5 miles or 5,000 miles. I think a flat rate of $49 for small animals and $99 for large animals is more appropriate. Nonetheless I am glad a site like this exists and that I was matched with my particular transporter.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We're thrilled to hear that Whitney provided the high level of service we expect from our drivers. CitizenShipper is a marketplace connecting customers with qualified, independent drivers. Our drivers place their bids manually, and many choose to discuss the details with you first to ensure they provide the most accurate quote possible. We truly appreciate your thoughts regarding our booking fee. This fee helps us offer our Booking Assurance Guarantee and Pet Protection Plan, keep our platform running smoothly, and ensure that drivers receive the full amount of their quoted price. We’re always looking for ways to improve our service, and we’ll be sharing your suggestion with our product team for further consideration. Thank you again for your valuable insights!-Karla
