I picked a driver to transport our 3-month-old puppy. He had excellent reviews. Well, he allowed his "daughter", Dawn, to transport our puppy. To be brief, she never would say exactly where she was, just what state she was in. She was supposed to go from Utah to AL. She went from Utah to CA then AZ then Kansas then Louisiana... it took 6days to get the puppy to us and it should have taken 3. He would have run out of food after 3 days yet she still had food left in the bag! He was emaciated and smelled like feces. She smelled like meth. Also, for 2 hrs, she said she was 5 minutes away and about to get off at the exit. I finally asked her to tell me exactly where she was. She was 1.5 hrs away! We had to tell her to stay put and we would go to her. Then, our puppy was walking around a gas station parking lot without a leash. The ad specifically said they had a collar and leash for the dogs they transport. So the drivers may be vetted through this service (supposedly they do a background check) but when that driver passes the job to someone else, citizenshipper has no control and there's no telling who you will end up with. Disastrous.

How can anyone even consider using this…
How can anyone even consider using this site to ship their pets, completely insane. A total ripoff hidden fees a complete scam, the positive reviews are fake written by themselves to boost ratings up as the BBB in Texas is overwhelmed with complaints from these people.

Hello Fernando,
I would like to clarify the event that made you write this review. I don't see any tickets under your name in our support team's mailbox, and we have agents standing by to make the experience as easy as possible for folks. If you'd care to email [email protected] I can look into the issue and see if we can't find a resolution for you. We are always trying to find new ways to improve the experience and feedback from customers, both happy and unhappy, is very important to this process. I definitely would appreciate the opportunity to learn from you, if you're willing to tell me your experience.

Got quoted by shipper, work out the pick up dates then I get hit with another $180 hidden charge. Will never use this site or recommend to anyone.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU EVER USE ADL OR EEP Trans LLC. EVER
I have had some horrible experiences in the past with businesses. But this one takes GoldMedal and will hold that trophy for eternity. For whatever reason I am not able to copy and paste my actual review. It is way too lengthy to retype again. In a nutshell if you ever choose the unfortunate reality of using EEP Trans Llc or ADL know that you will be disappointed with every part of the process. not only are they insanely unprofessional, condescending and rude. Know that you will never receive your shipment and you will get blamed for every missed pick up and delivery. They will lie to you they will minimize your purchase and they will make it very clear that you are not in any way shape or form important to them or their shippers. you can read my full review on other sites but do yourself a huge favor and DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE ADL OR EEP Trans LLC. EVER Unless of course you enjoy being belittled and enjoy frustration.

Hello David,
I am so sorry to hear you had an unfortunate experience with a driver using our platform. It is, thankfully, in the minority of our customer experiences and we take great pains to minimize these instances. If you would kindly email [email protected] and let our team know about what happened, we like to keep up with what is going on and ensure that incidents like this are not repeated. Thank you so much for helping us keep the platform easy, affordable, and safe.

Citizen shipper charges exorbitant fees…
Citizen shipper charges exorbitant fees to the customer, as well as fees to those providing the transfer service. Their customer service is terrible.
The driver was excellent and professional. It is wrong to charge fees in both ends. I will never use citizen shipper again.

Hi Michelle. I am sorry to hear of your unhappiness over the pricing structure of our service. Unfortunately in order to keep the lights on and the platform running, we have to charge fees so we can connect you with quality shippers like the one you hired. We do our best to keep things affordable and studies show that the money saved by customers not spending time on reviews and interviews and extra money on background checks and verifying many different companies and drivers is more than balanced by the fees paid to use our platform. This is why we pay for background checks and ID verification as well as provide support when things don't go quite as planned. Thank you for your feedback and I am glad that you had a great experience with the driver we connected you to for your shipment.

The driver William Kitchens transported…
The driver William Kitchens transported my motorcycle from Nevada to Alabama. During transport he damaged the frame to my motorcycle. He said he had insurance and assured me it would be fixed. I got the estimate for him and he broke off all contact with me. Do not use him to ship your stuff. If it gets damaged he will not pay for it to be fixed or replaced.

Hello Danny, as a motorcycle rider myself, I can understand your frustration. Have you instituted any kind of legal pursuit of this individual? CitizenShipper can, legally, disclose the information that we have if there is a police or other legal proceeding against a driver from our platform who has violated the terms of agreement. If you are considering this type of action, please email [email protected] for assistance.

Please note of all these “excellent…
Please note of all these “excellent services”, Citizenshipper provided none of. They are just a middleman between you and the shipper. If the shipper loses your pet, Citizenshipper will not help you. There are people in here that the shipper left their dog alongside the highway, never delivered the pet, etc. There are shippers who never got paid by customers states away. At the high fees Citizenshipper charges, they should be liable to insure both senders and shippers are treated fairly. But they are not. Their TOS ensures they get paid, up front, but drivers and customers are on their own when things go south. They might, or might not, give you their service fee back if your pet dies in an overheated car or gets abandoned, but the fee paid to the driver is up to you to collect. For the drivers, if the customer charges back the fee, what you going to do? Sue someone across the country for $4-500?
“Assist in redress” means nothing. Drivers can bid and accept gigs without a background check. Insurance, at most, will only give you market value of your pet, which will be much less than the value of your pet to you. Providing they even honor your claim.

Hello and thanks for your feedback on multiple occasions. You are correct, CitizenShipper is a marketplace, much like Craigslist or Ebay. We provide background checks and customer reviews for independent contractors to access customers on our site who need shipping. In the rare case that a pet is lost during a transport, we have insurance that covers negligent behaviors and we will assist in redress from the driver of the pet or item. We charge a fee for our services, just like Ebay AND Craigslist because we are providing benefits to the customer that would cost them literally hundreds of dollars to properly vet only 3 or 4 drivers that offered to ship their pet. Researching reviews, doing a background check, verifying insurance all take time and money. On our platform we have customer support, and our dedicated team to ensure customer satisfaction as well as fair treatment of our drivers. As is stated in our terms, your contract with the driver, which you are free to request from them, is between the two of you. Which is why we do background checks, ID verification and review of certifications on drivers. Yes, there have been legal actions taken against criminal activities with our support team giving information when legally cleared to do so. We do provide guidance on how to avoid getting scammed, as well. As for the service fee, there are situations that call for a refund and situations that don’t.
