Needed dog driven Florida to nj
We needed someone to drive our dog from Florida to nj , and I heard about Citizen Shipper.com. It’s a great way to connect with lots of drivers! We ended up with one who lived near here and it worked out VERY WELL! Emailed the company and right away lots of drivers got in touch when I put my details of what I needed in!

The app was great at finding a person to transport my pup!
The app was great for finding someone to transport my pup! I think that the fee to use the app is a bit high but if it meant finding a trustworthy person it was worth it! I got a lot of bids through the site. I gave it a 4 star solely because of the fee.

Citizen Shipper
Overall, a solid experience! The CitizenShipper website is user-friendly and makes it easy to list shipments and compare offers. I liked how quickly drivers responded, and the layout made communication straightforward. The platform is intuitive, even for first-time users. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because a few features (like filtering or editing a listing) could be more streamlined. Still, a great tool for finding reliable transport quickly.

A little clunky, but it works
I used CitizenShipper to find someone to transport my dog cross-country. The site is not easy to navigate. You must create your "shipment" first, then the bids start arriving. Once you view a bid, you can look at reviews for the individual shipper, but it took some clicking to figure that out. Once you accept a bid, you pay the fee and receive contact information for your shipper. It was not a super-easy experience, but I did find a good shipper and my dog arrived home safely.

I was lucky
I was lucky. I carefully chose someone, carefully read the shippers that bidded on my request. I made sure to choose someone that is USDA verified. Not all the people on here are money hungry. Some just want to travel, meet different dog breeds, etc.

I booked pet transport with…Furry Angel's Express
I booked pet transport with citizenshipper and Furry Angels Express was the transporter. My pet was transported from California to Iowa and I was very pleased with the price and the care my pet received. The driver was very transparent and provided me with his GPS location from start to finish. He also provided me with pictures of my pet during transport. The driver was flexible and accommodating and I was very pleased with the service.I paid citizen shipper a fee of $250 and then paid the driver half of the fee at the start and the other half when he delivered. Overall, it was a great experience. And I would highly recommend citizenshipper and furry angels express for your pet transport needs!

Get service - be aware of their service fee
This is a great service; I had 10 bids within 10 minutes of posting on the site. Be aware there is a service fee attached to the actual transport cost. On the $1000 service, I was charged another $400.
Response from CitizenShipperMar 11, 2025
Kris, Thank you for your review! We're glad to hear that you found the service helpful and received multiple bids so quickly. We strive to be transparent about our booking fee, which helps maintain the platform, provide 24/7 customer support, and ensure a safe and reliable experience for both shippers and drivers. The fee is displayed at checkout before confirming a booking, as well as in several areas throughout the site, so customers can easily understand the total cost. If there’s anything we can do to improve your experience, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected]

The driver was great
The driver was great. Would definitely ise this service again. I thought the fee per mile from the site directly on top of the driver. was a bit high especially since my travel was 1300 miles. Citizenship per will take a nice chunk of change for not doing much.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! We’re thrilled to hear that you had a great experience with your driver. We apologize for any frustration caused by the booking fee. While we aim to keep our services affordable, the booking fee helps us maintain and improve the CitizenShipper platform. Charging a fee allows for 100% of the shipment quote to go directly to the driver. We’ll be following up via email to explore how we can improve your experience moving forward. Thanks again, and we look forward to serving you in the future!- Michael
