It was fine
It was fine, a bit expensive but it did the job well. The shipping fee itself that goes to the site cost an extra hundred dollars to pair me with a shipper. Other than that everything went fine.

You didn’t earn the fee you charged.
For the fee you charge ($187), the only resolution you offered - to my shipper changing the pickup date 3 times and delaying shipping by more than a week - was to cancel the order and start over with another shipper from your service.
That didn’t settle well with me.

Good Service with One Big Caveat
Was nice to be able to get so many quotes (20+) from one source to transport our 8-wk-old puppy. Only complaint was that the fees seemed quite high for the service effort required (ca. $92, which was in addition to the charges paid to the driver). Furthermore, when I first tried to book a driver, the fee was $82 but the charge wouldn't go through for some reason (even though my cc info was correct). When I resubmitted my booking request, the fee had been raised to $92. Seems like the charges applicable when my RFQ was first submitted should have been honored.

My only complaint is
My only complaint with citizenshipper.com are the service fees. I paid your company a service for booking a quote kinda of like going through a broker, just to have to go through another transportation broker, to be put in touch with an actual driver. The second broker was all business and followed through with their timeline, but why have to pay two middle companies controlling the services of the actual drivers?

Lots of options. Fee extremely high
I loved the amount of prompt quotes and options I had. I was floored at how high the fee was for CitizenShipper when I booked my transport, and no where was I made aware of what it would be when I requested quotes.

SOME ISSUES - LESSONS LEARNED
I believe Citizen Shipper (CS) is a good tool in matching customers to shippers, but be aware that all shippers are not honest and CS cannot do much to help you if you have a problem with a shipper.
As a first time user, I was almost scammed by a shipper I hired to complete the job of transporting two puppies from Maryland to North Carolina.
I chose a shipper that cost more than the lowest bid, but had better reviews than most. I booked it 23 days in advance and the Tuesday before the Friday delivery date he said he had issues getting a vehicle. I then find out he is in Texas! That's a long drive for $350.
I had signed his contract although I did not read it thoroughly before signing it. He kept asking if I wanted to cancel the job. I said no, but he couldn't confirm if he could do the job or not.
In the contract, I specified exact pick up/drop off dates. Since he could not do the job, I wanted my money back. In his contract that I signed, it stated that the deposit for the job, if under $500, would be paid in full at the time of booking and there were no refunds of deposits.
He tried saying that there would be no refund to me because it was the deposit. I countered with it was the entire contract amount, not a deposit. We went round & round until he finally returned my money.
Citizen Shipper staff could do nothing for me except for refund the money I paid to them for matching me with shippers. I ended up reposting the job and was able to hire someone else locally, who delivered the puppies on the same day.
Things to do before booking.
READ their reviews before accepting their bid.
FIND out where they live. If it's not close to where you live question it or select another shipper. If I had known he was in Texas, I would not have hired him in the first place.
DO NOT RUSH through the contract they send you. READ IT THOROUGHLY & adjust it to your favor if the shipper cannot meet your deadline.
State in the contract SPECIFIC DATES (pick up/drop off) & if the shipper does not meet their obligations, that you will be REFUNDED the entire bid/contract amount. WATCH OUT for those stating that deposits are not refundable. Strike through that line & tell the shipper that is unacceptable. If he/she does not agree, relist the bid again.
Know that Citizen Shipper (CS) cannot help you with the contract you signed, as the shipper is not an employee of CS, but a private contractor. The contract is between you and the shipper, and CS will not intervene with any issues you have with the shipper. All CS can do is refund their fee & relist your bid. You could also leave the shipper a bad review. Yet the shipper can respond & lie.
Search for discounts for CS fees online (Citizen Shipper Coupon Codes) and type the code before you pay CS. I saved approximately $15 on their fees with a coupon code.
Although I had issues with the first shipper, the puppies were delivered to me on the day that I wanted them.
