I have been a client for several years. Why so long? Citizens Debt Relief will not settle one account. Every month I get a delinquency report on my credit report. I have sent Citizens a written offer from this last account accepting 50 cents on the dollar (this was the stated goal for Citizens). I have called numerous times. I have completely funded the account. I have completed my obligation per our agreement. Citizens has not. The website talks about all the things you can expect. Trust me, it's not true. If Citizen's will give me 50 cents on the dollar, I will settle the account and move on.

I spoke with CDR about Feb 2024 and everything sounded great and looked great on paper. Fast forward 7 months and the bank has sent me to collections. I assumed CDR had failed to negotiate as I wasn’t kept up to speed of how things are going. After posting this, they reached out immediately and had come to a deal w the banks. Still waiting on a few other things, but my patience did pay off I will say.

Had the Worst experience with this company. I do not recommend them. Everybody is out to make money these days and they are no different. I was told that they would help me solve my debt issue and do it for $1000 cheaper than any other company plus work to restore my credit. I thought that was a good deal until the first time they took out a payment. I realized after the payment was taken out that they put all of my credit cards on there instead of just the two that they were authorized to take care of. The contract was drawn up completely wrong and they took out double the money from my bank account. Not only did they cost me an overdraft fee but they also charged me $10.95 for taking the payment out. That’s not counting their percentage. After this, I was automatically done with this company. I told them to cancel the contract and return the money to my bank account. I told them what they did wrong and They didn’t want to take any responsibility. They refunded all the money except for $10.95, which they told me was their takeout fee and they refused to give it back or pay the overdraft fee even though it was their mistake. I was stuck with paying it all. Between the overdraft fee and their $10.95 This company ended up costing me $50 for absolutely nothing. Not one thing was resolved. Be careful and read the contract two or three times if you go with this company. To citizens debt relief: I do not want an apology from you nor a dispute on this review. It’s 100% true and I have all emails to prove it so don’t bother. The economy is horrible right now and you need to treat people right. These are our lives, not a get rich quick scheme. I told you I did not want a response from your company. First of all, what does me being on the program for 42 months have to do with any of this? Second, You said the $10.95 fee was for the contract I signed for taking the payment out So if you didn’t take it, then Who did? Sorry, I feel this way. That’s an understatement. I’m sorry your company is that way and can’t do a contract. My opinion of your company is very warranted. Good luck with your company. And that’s why I had a $3100. You paid 800 on one and 124 on another and kept the rest for yourself. How is that helping me? Even after Paying all your fees you still wanted more I don’t care if it was only 20 bucks a Month For you issuing a check or sending it to your bank. As much as you made off of me, I should not have to pay anything extra and that would’ve total $820 in your pocket so that would be almost $3000 You would make off of me by the time I would be finished with the program And that precisely why I fired you!!!

I have several accounts in debt consolidation with citizens debt relief, and for the past six months I’ve been trying to get a hold of somebody to speak to, and I can never get a hold of anybody to speak with. Today, I received a warrant in debt for my county General District Court on an account that I have in debt consolidation with citizens debt relief. To this day, this credit card company, Capital One, has never heard from Citizens Debt Relief notifying them that they are part of my debt consolidation, nor have any of my other credit card companies that I have put in debt consolidation with citizens debt relief . My agent that contacted me to set up this Debt Relief consolidation Matthew Leede, will not return my phone calls and I have left several messages, I have sent several emails and also several text messages to his cell phone that he said I could use anytime I needed to contact him and he would call me. They pull my money out every other week And I have no idea to this day what it is being done I’ve received no paperwork no communications nothing from this company to this date and I’ve been with them for over six months. When I do receive a phone call, they leave a number that I cannot get through on. This is incredibly stressful and I still have not heard as to whether or not they have contacted Capital One and the Collection agency that filed the warrant in debt for the account. I hate to have to get an attorney, but I may not have a choice. I have always heard that this is a process that takes the stress off of people like me that do not want to file bankruptcy, but this has not been my case thus far.
