Circle K in Calgary
In Calgary Alberta Circle K sponsors a AAA midget hockey tournament every year at the end of December. The website says you can purchase passes at the stores and offer a discount when purchased there. I went into two stores, 162 Ave and another on Shawnessy Blvd. In both cases the clerks knew nothing about the tickets much less what hockey is or the tournament. Kind of strange considering the posters in the windows. First store the clerk was sitting on a stool leaning against the wall and in the second he was more interested in his phone call. When I pointed out the posters they just shrugged - I don’t think they could read because they couldn’t speak in a language I understand.
This is not the first time I’ve encountered this attitude. This chain of stores was previously called Macs here in Canada and they were the major sponsor of the tournament. I went into their stores to purchase tickets, as was advertised, but they had no clue about them even with the poster in the window.
My recent trip into their stores really reminded of why I never shop at Circle K (my very last stop if really desperate). The stores are really low end, dirty, an overall mess with bad staff. The gas pumps are dirty so I purchase my gas at clean stations. The real clincher is the parking lot. This is Canada where it tends to be cold in the winter and when they make no effort to control the ice it becomes very dangerous to walk from your car.

Store 2723475 located at 3741 Capital…
Store 2723475 located at 3741 Capital Blvd in Raleigh NC, has some real problems. I was kicked out of this store for attempting to buy items at the price they were labeled on the shelf - clearly labeled. I was argumentative beyond anything reasonable for the circumstance, but was evicted. My wife was a few people behind me in line and tried to buy the products for me, and not only was she not allowed, she too, was kicked from the store. In the parking lot I encountered two more people who also were kicked out for no good reason. His company has a problem staffing their stores properly, and they certainly have an issue with management making poor hiring decisions. It’s a shame, because it’s terribly convenient and close to where I live, but I had reached a point I never shopped there unless absolutely necessary, but I now I won’t step foot in there ever again for any reason. I advise anyone reading this to follow suit. A company with so little regard for its customers doesn’t deserve to be patronized.

I went to Circle K to buy snacks. I bought a slim Jim from there and it had mold on it.

What a shame
1. Advertise sales but than the wrong price comes up, you ask for help and cashier acts like we are bothering them.
2. Not all locations are offering the same sales.
3.Dirty locations
4. Unfriendly environment

Why I’m I forced to give it at least a…
Why I’m I forced to give it at least a star?. 1865 Avenue Road Toronto, CA. This might be a good circle K but the manager is the most racist human I’ve ever came across.
For the record I’ve been going to this specific location for over 20 years-yes I live in the neighborhood.
I’ve had an incident with the manager 4years ago. He never expected me to take it that far but I did, & at the end he apologized to me (infront of his regional manager) for his unprofessional behaviour towards me as a customer. Fast forward today November 25th 2024. I pull in to put gas as I always do,..the pump won’t let me. IT WAS NOT A PRE PAID PUMP. I even took a picture to prove it,..I waved at the manager to let me pump gas,..I even pressed the intercom to speak with him, nothing. Almost 7minutes later I went into the store and I asked why he couldn’t let me pump gas, he replied “pump #3 is a prepaid pump” . I said “no it’s not” he replied “yes it is”. I know it was not a prepaid pump. Prepaid pumps says on the screen “must pay first”,..this pump didn’t.
Anyways I proceeded to paid for $20 gas, I bought my coffee and when back to my car to pump my gas. When I was done I took a picture of the screen, which 100% proved that it was NOT a prepaid pump. I went back to him and asked how come he said it was prepaid pump when clearly it wasn’t. He changed and now said, “if I can’t see your licence plate I asked you to come inside and pay” so asked is it a prepaid pump or it my licence plate?,..like you don’t know me,..” ive been going to this same gas station at least once per day-(gas/lottery/coffee)-for over 20years, & with same car for over 10years & this is the treatment i get from the same manger.
I bet if i looked like the other customers and drove the big cars he’ll never had to treat me Like that.
So first he lies to me that pump #3 is prepaid, then I caught him in a lie that it wasn’t he claims that he couldn’t see my license plate, which is another big lie.
Circle K if you truly value your customers of all races then you need to address this issue especially with this specific manager. You can’t keep having him discriminate on whom provide the customer service your company thrive for. Circle K you’re better than that one racist manger on 1865 Avenue Road, Toronto CA
