Thank you for purchasing from ChemDirect. This review was posted before ChemDirect was made aware of the issue. Once the problem was identified, we reached out. The product was useable, and we believe this issue has been resolved, as we haven't heard back about any additional needs after following up. Thank you, ChemDirect

ChemDirect has an impressive selection of chemical materials at reasonable prices. However, they seem to have a policy of restricting who can buy materials and a need to know what the material will be used for, unnecessarily delaying the process. This was overcome by a very helpful purchasing agent, but such delays are not policies of other chemical companies such as Sigma.

Thanks for taking the time to post a review and for the positive comments about our selection and pricing; it is appreciated. As a marketplace specializing in chemicals, we have policies for our orders. As a company, we only ship to businesses at verified commercial addresses. This policy can be found in our FAQs and is stated throughout the checkout process. These policies and e-mails are implemented to deter unqualified and/or nefarious buyers from accessing products that may be dangerous to themselves or the public. As you mentioned, working with these policies is easy if a buyer works with our customer service team. I want to note that this order was not delayed. The estimated delivery on the product purchased was 3/8, it was delivered on 3/7, a day earlier than anticipated. Thank you for placing an order with ChemDirect.
