Stay Away — it’s a scam
I've booked a return home ticket with Cheap Flight Fares yesterday. Everything seemed to have gone right. They sent me a confirmation that stated booking was under process. Checked my confirmation # my information still seemed pending as it was showing that I owed the exact same amount that I have paid for my ticket, despite the payment going through. I called them to inquire what the issue was. I was informed that it was still pending and they will call me back when it's processed. I did not receive a callback. I then called them today. I was informed that I had to pay an additional amount (almost double the amount that I paid). I have been informed the ticket that I purchased is no longer available because the ticket price went up while I was in the process of purchasing it. I did not receive any notice at that time, as it is customary with other online flight companies, to let me know the ticket price was not available. Instead, they took my money and made it seem like the purchase went through fully and that I had my ticket. Now they are telling me to pay an extra amount or it will be a cancelled flight, even though there is nothing to cancel since, according to their sales rep, I don't have a ticket. This is not how a reputable, honest business deals with customers. It's dishonest and not transparent. This is clearly a scam where they lure you with attractive prices and when they get a hold of your payment then they tell you to pay up more or you forfeit your original amount.
