CheapfarespotReviews of cheapfarespot.com

This website is a SCAM. You book your flight, and they send you an email that it is reserved and that you will be called to confirm it. They call and then say that the flight is on standby but the flight you want is no longer available and if you want it you have to pay the difference and the upgrade fee which is well over $100. The total cost they were telling us to pay for the flight was well over the amount of the flights listed on the actual airline. Extremely rude and aggressive staff, extremely unprofessional, do NOT use this site otherwise, you will lose money.

I booked a flight for $566.31 round trip which sounds good, no where does it say it’s not a grantee booking, until the email. Tried to book alternative flight to another airport 7 hours away, suggested one way. I’ve booked with third party websites and this has never happened. Ended up paying in total $1010. Stay away from this website, go to flighthub, kayak, Skyscanner, booking.com, google flights. They are way better. Highly disappointed

I strongly advise people to stay away from this booking site and read the terms very carefully before making any payment. My experience was extremely disappointing. I purchased a return ticket advertised at US$137. After I had paid, I was told that the ticket was a “flexible” ticket and that it was non-refundable, and I was apparently expected to accept a flight date/time that did not match my original travel plans. When I insisted that I could not change my travel date and time, the situation became even more frustrating. Instead of honouring what I believed I had purchased, I ended up having to pay US$176 for a one-way ticket by forcing the only option to change the $137 USD return ticket to a one-way ticket and further adding $39. What concerns me most is the way the booking and ticket conditions were communicated after payment. A price may look extremely attractive initially, but if the actual ticket conditions and restrictions are not made completely clear before payment, customers can end up paying significantly more than expected. My strongest advice to anyone considering this company is simple: STAY AWAY. I would never recommend this booking site to anyone.

WARNING They give you FAKE prices to trick you to CALL them to sell you Stiff priced tickets! They charged the card bank declined - TICKETS NEVER delivered. Email them to cancel and report to my bank. Not recommended

Avoid CheapFareSpot I paid for airline tickets through cheapfarespot.com. My card was charged even though they stated it would only be charged after verbal confirmation, which I never gave. They then provided fake booking/ticket documents, which one Hainan Airlines could not verify. I have disputed the transaction with my bank and reported the case to the FTC.
