US based company? Not entirely true.
Ordered a device and two accessories from Lockd on September 6th. As of September 10th they had two tracking numbers. One from USPS that was not valid for the device and one from Amazon for the accessories. I emailed the company about the invalid tracking and they sent an unclear response, bur provided new tracking to a 3rd party carrier (uni uni). The Amazon tracking said the product was on its way, but delayed and somehow randomly showed up, but did not ahow delivered. Upon inspection, I was immediately disappointed as the accessories are cheap Chinese made (Lockd makes a point advertising they are US based and make you believe their quality will reflect that). What you get is products from amazon that are marked up over 2.5 times the price. The device tracking had not updated as of 9/13 just said "label created". Randomly, I get an email stating "the last items of your order were delivered" wrong....i checked my mailbox and they sent the accessories AGAIN. I sent an email concerned they had made a mistake and I would not get the device, the main reason for purchase and stated i would file a claim with paypal. I got a rude response saying they could not understand why I would file a claim. I proceeded with the claim and stated that I wanted to return the unopened accessories and cancel the device that has not moved in a week. They ignored my request and said they would only now communicate through PayPal.mahically after the claim was filed they were motivated to ship the device. Conveniently they do not take returns on delivered devices (see their rude response ro this on other reviews). The package arrived today, but I am not opening it as I cannot trust a company this bad with a long term wear device. They'll likely respond that im an unreasonable customer, etc....but ask yourself...they made multiple shipping errors, treated it casually with poor communication and didnt even send the product until paypal sent them a charge back. They're misrepresenting rheir products as American and sending marked up Chinese junk. Is it worth the risk? Am I a bad customer for just wanting what I paid for? Considering communication could have solved the whole issue but the concept escapes them as they got my money and rhats all that mattered to them.
