I tried to take the Claude Certified architect exam today online with PearsonVue.
Was prevented by their software, rude proctors and inexistent support.
Everything went decent, up until I had to accept the terms and conditions from Anthropic (last step before actually seeing the questions).
The accept button was hidden underneath the apple dock, and since their browserlock disables everything, I couldn't accept them until the time expired > appeared as a refusal from my side > exam failed.
I reached out to their proctors during this(you can raise a hand and they'll respond eventually), got the chat closed several times by them without answers, then 40 minutes later a 5th person answered that i should zoom in, but at this point it was too late.
I only had a close button in a screen that said close and restart, and he said it's ok to close.
When I closed, it closed the chat, and logged me out of the app saying I submitted the exam. I couldn't login again since I needed a new code, which ofc wasn't available on the website as the exam already appeared failed.
Now after another 30 minutes of support call at Pearson, with dogs and cars in the background with the support guy constantly moving and explaining why my exam appears failed 3 times and that I didn't actually take it, I got a - raised a support ticket, we'll get back to you.
It's enfuriating how they can be so bad at this and yet chosen by so many companies.
I don't expect much seeing other reviews...seems like the exam is gone :(

Test taker unfriendly and waste of money
Awful, abhorrent experience both with the testing facility and customer service. I was scheduled for my exam on 7/8 at 12:15pm at the testing center on Sheridan Street in Pembroke Pines. I got there early but they had technical issues with the palm scanner that delayed me taking my exam for over an hour. I asked if it would be possible to reschedule; they told me no. I was not the only person who was affected by this. The testing center was not quiet, either. I left and opened a case online so Pearson can update their technology and address this long delay. They closed my case stating the testing center denied any delays and that I didn't raise the concern at the time of testing. I called because that's a blatant lie and ludicrous excuse to close my case. I spoke with Victor and Sophia for over an hour and 15 minutes before Sophia hung up on me, and they were extremely unhelpful. They merely said "the testing center confirmed your delay and are taking steps to address it." When I asked why I got an email stating otherwise, Sophia just repeated herself. I asked if I could receive another email recapping our conversation. She gave me a roundabout answer about how they couldn't do that as it was considered "unauthorized communications" but she put "notes in the comments section of my account." I've worked in call centers for years and I know there are ways to send authorized email correspondence to callers so long as you have their information, which Sophia did. Lots of back and forth, being put on hold for 20 minutes at a time, only to be hung up on. I will never do business with Pearson again and will tell other people to avoid them at all costs.

Was charged for a service that was not…
Was charged for a service that was not provided, non-existent customer support. Spoke to 3 different customer support persons?!?, or poorly designed AI agents in order to be able to receive a working phone number. Called the said phone number just to receive a poor explanation and a 'my system is down' excuse. If you have the option to take whatever exam you are looking to take, locally, or with a different company, avoid pearsonvue at all costs

always a terrible experience
always a terrible experience. Why they are still the go to for so many testing sites is beyond me. Stain on any company associated with this trash. Personvue is the bottom of the bottom.

My name is John Albert McArtor and on Friday, May 15th, 2026, and also on Thursday, May 28th, 2026, I had attended two exam appointments that I had scheduled online.
The exams that I attended on Friday, May 15th, 2026 were "InsDE_Health02 - DE Accident and Health Producer - English (ENU)" which was scheduled for 02:00 PM EDT for 135 minutes, and "InsDE_Life01 - DE Life Producer - English (ENU)" which was scheduled for 5:30 PM EDT for 135 minutes. I took the exams at the Person Professional center located at 1012 COLLEGE ROAD, SUITE 104, MAIN STREET DOVER PROPERTIES, DOVER, DELAWARE 19904, UNITED STATES, and did not pass either exam according to the Online Score Report Information. I was still charged $90.00 on my credit card.
The exams that I attended on Thursday, May 28th, 2026 were the same exams that I attended on Friday, May 15th, 2026. The exams that I attended were "InsDE_Life01 - DE Life Producer - English (ENU)" which was scheduled for 12:15 PM EDT for 60 minutes, and "InsDE_Health02 - DE Accident and Health Producer - English (ENU)" which was scheduled for 01:15 PM EDT for 135 minutes. I took the exams at the Pearson Professional center located at 1012 COLLEGE ROAD, SUITE 104, MAIN STREET DOVER PROPERTIES, DOVER, DELAWARE 19904, UNITED STATES, and passed the exam titled "InsDE_Life01 - DE Life Producer - English (ENU)", but still not pass the exam titled "InsDE_Health02 - DE Accident and Health Producer - English (ENU)" according to the Online Score Report Information. I was still charged $90.00 on my credit card.
Upon completion of my 2nd exam appointment at the Pearson Professional center located at 1012 COLLEGE ROAD, SUITE 104, MAIN STREET DOVER PROPERTIES, DOVER, DELAWARE 19904, UNITED STATES on Thursday, May 28th, 2026 which was "InsDE_Health02 - DE Accident and Health Producer - English (ENU)", I was printed a score report stating the results of my exam appointment which stated that the examination result was a FAIL. I got a pen and asked the test proctor for her full name so I could write it down on the back of the Examination score report, so I could know who she was and verify her identity for trust and validation reasons. She told me that her name was Beth. I then asked for her last name, which is a completely regular question and she looked offended that asked her that. She then said "I don't give that out", and then I said "Why is that? Is it not subject to disclosure?" and she responded "No, my name is just Beth and I am the manager here at this testing center." I did not ask her what her role was at this Pearson Professional center, however, she chose to volunteer that information. She was very rude and I didn't appreciate the lack of transparency regarding why she cannot provide HER last name as a test proctor working at a Pearson Professional Center, but I had to provide my full name, plus show two forms identification with at least one containing a photo of my face, and be scanned extensively before each test and every time I reenter the testing area during a bathroom break. I was very disgruntled about the hypocrisy that she showed and her overall demeanor. I wrote an email on Saturday, May 30th, 2026 requesting a full refund for both exams to Pearson Vue Customer Service and they refused to give me a refund. I then filed a complaint against Pearson Education to the Better Business Bureau on Wednesday June 3rd, 2026 and they still have not responded to my complaint. Based on principle, I should be given a full refund of $180 for both exam appointments that I scheduled and attended in May of 2026, but Pearson is a completely corrupt company, so they will not do the morally right thing and that's why their getting this negative review from me.

Customer Service Will Scam You
I was scheduled to take an AWS certification exam at a testing center. Long story short the testing center was closed and Pearson VUE refused to give me a refund or let me reschedule it. Citing that the testing center was "open" but I couldn't even get into the testing center which was closed down. The indian customer service reps were really rude as well and need an attitude adjustment.

DO NOT USE PEARSON ONVUE / VUE FOR…
DO NOT USE PEARSON ONVUE / VUE FOR EXAMS!
Test exam setup process failed using Pearson's systems, multiple times. Spent 30 minutes (after doing pre-checks and ensuring all was in compliance beforehand) trying to finalize setup & approval for exam testing space. The OnVUE system kept rejecting my pictures, giving me nonsense justification as to why. Clearly a robot checking the pictures and failing to identify them properly.
Customer "service" is only available via chat as their FAQs are pointless and there's no usable phone number to contact for quick resolution. Spent 30 minutes trying to explain the situation to the "service" rep, they were hardly helpful and ultimately opened a TICKET for me. Unable to help resolve the issue, unable to help me reschedule or provide any assurances whatsoever that the matter would be resolved. Now potentially out ~$500 trying to take my PMP exam for PMI at home in a prepared testing environment. Unbelievable.
DO NOT USE PEARSON ONVUE / VUE FOR EXAMS!

Very disappointing experience
Very disappointing experience with Pearson VUE.
My exam was rescheduled by them, and the notification I received clearly stated that I would be able to reschedule free of charge. However, when I tried to do this through their web app, I was still required to enter my card details and pay a €40 rescheduling fee.
I also attempted to contact support twice, but the call quality was extremely poor, with significant background noise, making it nearly impossible to understand the representatives. On top of that, the support line is a paid number, meaning I would have to spend more money just to resolve an issue that was not my fault.
It’s frustrating that in 2026, something as simple as honoring a “free reschedule” cannot be implemented properly in their system.
For a service that costs around $1000, I expected a much more reliable and customer-friendly experience.
Overall, very disappointed with both the system and the support.
