CertaPro PaintersReviews of certapro.com

I highly suggest if you're in the Kingston, NY area to not use this franchise. Although the salesman who gave me an estimate was fantastic, the two man crew they contracted out to paint my 1700 square foot home was awful. I'm not usually a review writer but this company needs to screen their painters more thoroughly. This two man crew spent only 2-3 hours working on my house every few days over the course of 3 weeks. I had to call and complain eventually about the drawn out process with their supplies and equipment sprawled in my driveway for the entire time and a half painted house. They didn't scrape anything and the paint job was sprayed over my peeling garage door. I had to redo it myself, after paying $5000 for this job (exterior and garage door, not including window frames). There was a lot of messy paint sprays on my WINDOWS, my porch, ect when they were done. They absolutely did not approach this correctly- no tape or drop cloth/plastic, just their spray guns. Meanwhile, tons of cigarette butts on my property from them. A year later, the paint was peeling. And although they came to touch up, a few months later it was peeling again. They admitted to me that since they painted around a wet time in October, the paint isn't adhering correctly. But why didn't they explain that to me then and suggest a different time? Never again!

Please do not waste your money. Extremely expensive. Job poorly done. Had to have them return 10 times and still the job is not done well. They are not "pro" . I have photos and Text messages as proof.

I am, obviously, very disappointed that CertaPro Painters has chosen to withdraw your quote to perform painting and carpentry services at our house. I am sure there is much more to this decision than "CertaPro Painters not being confident in meeting or exceeding our expectations" as you have stated below. I will say, you are correct, you have not met our expectations. I understand we have made updates to the multiple quotes we received. The reason for doing that was to provide complete clarity based upon the statement that appears in your quote which states: "PLEASE CAREFULLY REVIEW ALL OF THE ITEMS, AREAS AND COMPONENTS THAT ARE INCLUDED AS WELL AS THOSE THAT ARE EXCLUDED TO ENSURE THAT THERE IS NO MISUNDERSTANDINGS AS TO THE SCOPE OF THE PROJECT. ANY ITEMS, AREAS, AND COMPONENTS NOT SPECIFICALLY INCLUDED ARE EXCLUDED" We asked questions only to gain the required understanding to satisfy your statement above. I am not satisfied with the explanation you provided as to why your company will not proceed with the work at the agreed upon price. If you were interested at all in appearing to be professional, you would have tried to work out any concerns you may have had with us. The action you have taken is extremely unprofessional along with the lack of response to questions presented to your owner, Sean Collins. One of the reasons we contacted your company originally was because of a very good experience we had in painting our house in Savannah, GA. It is clear that your organization and the one in Savannah do not operate under the same standards of professionalism. Needless to say, you will not receive anything close to a good recommendation from us. It appears your franchise cannot handle a routine painting job for which you supplied a quote and would not keep your word to perform the services you proposed to do within the quote.

Made an appointment and we met. Came to the house and took photographs. About 45 mins of time. Never heard back.

We hired CertaPro Painters to paint our front porch. There were a few miscommunications throughout the process. I was asked the same questions several times which was getting frustrating. The first person who came didn't paint underneath the railing so you could see where the new paint and old paint touched. It looked terrible. Another painter came and fixed it. A few months later, the paint on all the stairs is bubbling and peeling off. It's obvious that they didn't prep the surface correctly. After spending over $1200, I expect the job to last more than 6 months. Will never use again.

If there was zero stats I would hit it. Salesman never called us back after painters did not do ceiling or corners and after it was pointed out to the supervisor he asked for 500 cash to do ‘ touch ups’ horrible experience all around . Do not recommend

Not one aspect of the contract was met. Painters had no idea what was to be done and could not speak English. Came from 200 miles away and were obviously not employed by Certapro. 8 months later and still no effort to correct. Smoke and mirrors. CERTAPRO Spokane stay away.

Extremely unprofessional, sloppy and incomplete job. Its a joke that Ken the sales man had to come to our house "5 times to be on the same page".Yet he never was and gave us one excuse after another. He agreed on the issues and the sloppy work and incomplete job needing to be fixed and he sent two different individuals who refuse to do the work. I have them on video camera sitting in their cars for hours not doing the job we paid for and then them leaving after working for one hour. Customers be very aware of this company horrible business practices and if you call to speak to a supervisor they don't answer their phones and their message machine is full. I would never recommend this company. What a waste of time, energy and a whole lot of money.
