CertaPro PaintersReviews of certapro.com

We used Greensboro location. Sales rep is horrible about responding. The painters came during a week of grey skies and rain. And initially it looked ok. Since with sunny light the creases around corners and ceiling look awful. I paid a lot for professional service and it looks like I did the painting. I specifically asked if they had proper ladders of scaffolding for extra tall ceilings in stair ways and was assured that they did. They arrived and did not. The ceiling creases look absolutely awful. They did not finish the ceiling in my master bath. I’ve been trying to get it covered under warranty and have been given the run around for 2 months now. On my most recent call today I was told they discussed my redo in their meeting this week and I’m due for a call from the sales rep. I asked to deal with someone else since his record of communication is awful and was told he was the only rep in the area.

Certapro definitely does not stand behind their work. They left our garage doors and front door with bubbling paint then told us there was nothing else they could do and stopped communicating with us. What a horribly run company

What happened to this company? I was very pleased with my first experience, and spent 10k on a huge project. The paint in some places started peeling about a year in. They came back to repair the damage and ended up painting my deck THE WRONG COLOR. The deck was green. My fence is the white color you see. So...he sort of painted it white but I guess he got tired around the railing spindles. I am awfully mad because I paid them money to come back and FIX THE WORK THAT SHOULD HAVE LASTED more than a couple years, right? I guess the joke's on me.

Very unsatisfactory experience with CertaPro Painters of Cincinnati painting the interior of our home - or maybe not painting it - because they seemed to have subcontracted the job out. The team barely spoke English, they started painting with the wrong color, didn't remove outlet/switch covers and left old paint showing around the edges of covers and hand rails, didn't patch all wall dings/holes, got paint on many things they shouldn't have, left paint on floors and windows, sloppily cut in the paint around corners/ceilings/trim, left tons of drips, fuzz, and small roller debris on walls and doors with the paint, did not silicone gaps in trim and around doors/cabinets, and rushed the painting in a way that made two coats insufficient in many places (only transitioned from a light Grey to an off-white). A CertaPro rep came by halfway through the first day and did not talk to us before leaving; no one else came to check on the job quality. At the end of the job, we decided it was better to just sign off on the job so we can spend even more money on materials to try and fix the issues ourselves rather than continue to receive subpar work and try to bridge the language barrier to express our frustrations.

Great experience doing interior projects we had when we moved into our new home. Painter was great and went above and beyond what we asked them to do.

unprofessional even though we have been working with them for 3 years they backed out mid-audit saying they have more workload from other customers

The old adage that there are three components to a construction job: SPEED, PRICE and QUALITY - and you can only have two in a contract was very applicable to CertaPro’s recent job on the exterior of our house. They excelled in Speed and Price - Quality, not as expected by a professional painting contractor. Preparation work was minimal, paint was not fully scrapped and sanded, caulking was applied and painted over while still wet and many areas were painted over loose and peeling paint. All became evident the day after the job was ‘completed’, with a strong rain fall the next evening that literally washed off paint and trapped water behind paint. Not recommended for any job that requires careful pre-paint preparation work to be done - but they were fast and affordable.

he crew completely rushed a high-ceiling drywall patch—spraying the texture and immediately rolling over it without waiting, creating a heavy, unfeathered circular ridge. I was told if i didn't paint the entire upstairs ceiling the patch would stand out. So I paid the additional money and it looks horrible. The crew abandoned the job without a walkthrough, and the office didn't even know they had left. After Memorial Day, the original project manager, Shane, inspected it and explicitly admitted it looked bad and promised a fix. Then he resigned. The new manager, John, refused to honor that promise. He twisted contract language to excuse the bad work, told me it would cost MORE money to have them fix their mistake, and then openly admitted that even if they did try to fix it, he wouldn't guarantee it wouldn't still look obvious! Terrible quality, non-existent internal communication, and zero accountability from the Western Chester County branch.
