The company refused to deliver down my road, when just yesterday a large box car delivered my refrigerator. They stated it was unsafe and a liability to the company. Dunn lumber delivers my lumber all the time inclusive of a fork lift if needed on the same road. When I reached out to Central Transport I was hung up on, played telephone tree for over an hour and the company refused to reconsider delivery. Wow! Fantastic. I would never use Central Transport again.

They are out right committing fraud on their customers. Damage freight constantly and never pay for their mistakes. They will take a pallet that weighs 200lbs and send a bill saying the weight is like 800lbs. You try and argue that they messed up and get very defensive saying their scales are the best on the planet. You prove to them they are wrong and still want to fight you. They think that companies don't watch their shipping charges and hope for it to slide. I don't see how there isn't major lawsuits out against them.

Nickle and dime company. They will quote you out one cost and have the lowest rates around until you get the bill. Thats when they nickle and dime you for so called reweighs and misclasses. When you ask for picture proof, all they have is something that looks like it could be doctored to what they want you to see. I do not recommend this company. go with the higher quote you get cause in the long run, it will cost you less.

My elderly father made the mistake of taking a recommendation to drop off a 20lb bumper cover at Central Transport instead of a pack & ship. I presumed they had a customer service center, but they didn't have one, just shipping dock workers who tried to help, gave him a $210 quote and told him it would not ship until it was paid for. When I called in the next day to pay, they told me it was $468! They added $35 to change the "bill to", $150 because he used his personal address as ship from (residential) even though he dropped it off at their terminal, and another $35 when they "reclassified" the shipment type, i.e. the dock worker didn't know how to properly assist in filling out the bill of lading and and they added several charges accordingly, and they already shipped it so I could not return and take it elsewhere! I emailed several customer service and billing supervisors who had took zero accountability for their employee's representations, sign it was a "legal and binding" contract, that the charges were valid, that they could not change them, and if I didn't pay they would charge a $50.00 PER DAY storage fee! On top of that, they require "secure" funds via wire transfer or "overnighted" money order, so I could incur more expense. What an absolutely HORRIBLE company, and from reading other reviews here it's pretty clear they don't care.

I wish I had a 0-star as an option. This company is a scam, they damaged my $1,750.00 car door on their premises. They recognized their mistake but they refused to pay for it, they have a ridiculous liability term of $.8 cents per pound. I lost $2,150.00. They want to pay me $8.00. I will go to court because such limited liability will definitely be rejected by any judge. Do not do business with this company.

I have been using Central Transport since 2014 to ship for our company. Since 2020 they have resorted to up-charging every load we book with them. They lure you in with a low price and then add on charges which are always without any merit. They do everything in their power to rob their customers. We have removed them from our list of carriers as should everyone.

We used Central Transport exclusively for the last 10+ years. We even spoke with one of our major suppliers and was able to get them allowed back on their property for pickups. My issue is regarding a recent shipment for (3) A/C units that mysteriously just disappeared....lost pallet they say. Filed a claim for an amount that just covered our cost of the product. I'm told that they are only paying $862 of the $1869 out of pocket cost to us. I lost the sale to our buyer and another $1007 because they "Lost" the pallet. I've already started looking for another LTL carrier to replace them.

This is the worst company to deal with. They've missed over 10 pickup appointments for our shipments to Amazon. Every day they say they are coming and give you a time window, that passes and you call again and they give you a new window that day and then never show up. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Absolutely the worst carrier to deal with, avoid them if you can.
