This is a communist monopoly. They claimed I had a gas leak and took my meter over two weeks ago. After proving there is no leak they have left me waiting now for 4 more days to get my meter back on. They have decided I don’t get to have the benefit of hot water or heating or a stove to boil water in December. They have been controlling my life and withholding utilities from me for no reason other than to just torture an individual for fun.

Had a gas leak, Centerpoint locked the meter, I had the gas line replaced and approved and I have been waiting 3 days for a technician to get out and restore the service. The time window you are given is 8Am to 8PM and then they no-show. No communication, no heads-up, no nothing. This is the worst customer care I have ever experienced. If this were my business model I would go tits-up! I will switch as soon as possible. It's 6:45 PM on the 3rd day and I still haven't received a call or any communication that someone is coming. I have called 4 times today and been assured they were coming, but that's what they said yesterday and didn't come. Grrrr!

I am wring to state how disappointed we are with this company. During these tough times economically, we have tried NUMEROUS times to get help with waiving our security deposit with no success or acknowledgement. While I understand you want a "credit reference letter" stating we have paid gas on time for 12 months, our previous rental company refused to do one. In place of that, we provided you with 3 years of proof of on time payments through them to Conservice. We also were able to send another ledger showing the same from Conservice. I'm sure there are account notes of me calling in to speak to a supervisor multiple times. Each time when being transferred, the line would hang up. You would think that good customer service would have called me back to continue the call- no, that never once happened. I would appreciate being acknowledged and refunded our deposit that we clearly should not have to pay.

Worst company to deal with. Charges are way too high. Outrageous. Its like mafia. They tell us not to use too much electricity and charges us $350-450 for 4 bedroom house. What is this? They think they can take high bills but don’t use electricity either. We kept it below 78 temperature from 11pm to 8pm for AC in a day it feels way too hot till 8pm and we don’t even use washer or dryer during that time but still paying so much. $350 this is ridiculous

They tried to fix our gas fireplace/stove and said it needed parts that were not available so we should replace it. We had a local fireplace store look at it. They fixed it. It seems center point didn't even know how to correctly turn on the pilot light. Incompetent.

Customer services is serious s..ck. they said they will call me 30 mins before to turn the Gas on for my home. Today, They called at 1:17pm, and I got back home at 1:45pm, I waited and called them back when call back Centerpoint, they said the technician left the home at 1:44pm, I took my half day work off because of this issue for nothing. I think Centerpoint should restructure the employees, if they can not perform job wells ask them leave and get new people to work for. They are lazy ass, there are many hardworking people out there need jobs, while centerpoint having so many lazy ass people working for them, why Centerpoint still keep them in the Organization. That is why American going down, not so great as it used to be.

Similar to another review I saw on here, I was set up on auto-pay and everything and the first payment went through fine so I should be good to go and I keep a hefty bank balance so there was never insufficient funds and changed nothing on my end but somehow on their end their faulty system messed up and couldn't process the payments anymore. So I get the notices and pay again and it says the payment is accepted and my balance due is zero so good to go, I think, but then their system keeps glitching and reversing the payment. They send an email confirmation that payment is received so they should send another one if something goes wrong with it afterwards. Customer service is zero help and actually wastes time by giving you a so called trace number to contact your bank about but the bank says that information is only used by Centerpoint, something Centerpoint should know so obviously that was just done as a goose chase to get me to hang up and try something else. Now what they don't tell you is if their system glitches and doesn't process your payment, if I understand correctly then you can't pay that way anymore so there is no use in trying. So when their cheap malfunctioning system glitched on the autopay the first time, every time I paid again by online banking to avoid any extra fees, it would say accepted even though they knew it wouldn't process. Their whole payment system is haywire. You try to pay and pay but they they make it tough. They are the only company I have ever had trouble like this with and I wouldn't use them if there was any other choice. I only use them for gas since they are a monopoly and I also see they financially support politicians so there you go on that score. At least for electricity I can use someone else. And their 12 hour window for service is the most ridiculous ever, 7am to 7pm. That's outrageous and no company that wasn't a monopoly could get away with it.
