C for VR is as good a choice as any if you want your varicose veins done. Of course, the bottom line is ensuring that / what your insurance will pay towards it, which is the purpose of the first appointment. Compared to 30+ years ago, these procedures can be done amazingly "easily" (for the Provider) and efficiently (from the point of patient through put and the BUSINESS side of things), but don't forget, it's still going to be uncomfortable and need a bit of adjustment for a week or so depending, to everyday activities I'm looking forward to seeing how those compression stockings feel; unfortunately mine inadvertently did not get ordered on that first appointment 3 weeks ago (I'm currently halfway through what will be four treatment sessions on my left leg, which IS covered by my insurance) The elasticized bandages do in fact work JUST AS WELL (& could be re-washed if you do it carefully) if you want to save $43 I have tried numerous other compression stockings, socks, and pantyhose over the past 20 years or so (I do a lot of long haul air travel) and nothing is (going to be) perfect. Having my veins done was NOT, for me, for cosmetic reasons. I'm really grateful I could get it done without having to pay (much), but I don't think it's quite as "necessary" as CVR might make out, despite there being some medical evidence to suggest a relationship between DVT (which I had a couple of years back) and varicose veins.... In my case, I wonder that all that wearing of compression stockings probably prevented others (the time I got the thrombosis, I slept overnight in the front seat of a car, and didn't of course even think to wear one) So, my advice to prospective patients is: if your vein incompetence (which they measure by ultrasound) does NOT meet the criteria for your particular insurance, don't fret. Compression stockings do genuinely "work" and, as well, might help you feel more comfortable. But getting the right ones for you may take a bit of effort on your part (the best ones for ME happened to be a pair I got from a THRIFT STORE for $2!) CVR staff aren't going to really be able to do that for you; it's TRIAL AND ERROR, the bottom line being to try to get them as tight as you can reasonably tolerate (to prevent DVT at least) As for CVR at Howard County location: make sure all staff address patients by TITLE as well as last name. After all, it's not a Correctional Institution, and calling out "King" instead of my first name or any title in front of it - especially when I've been there several times already and I have bothered to learn the first names of the staff members and address them as such - can add to the feeling of an efficient, high turnover operation but one that is primarily about making money. The staff at the Front Desk are super friendly, and you guys really do have a huge effect on patient experience. We are all people after all, and having these procedures is kind of UNCOMFORTABLE for several days afterwards... so it's always worth showing kindness and acknowledging this (one day, it could well be any of you in our patient shoes) Let's all try to work towards making the Healthcare Industry in this country feel less of an INDUSTRY and more about helping patients. Patients will respond and feel happier, less ungrateful and complain less, and that's good for healthcare staff morale! All in all, CVR does a good job, and I have no hesitation in recommending them to others

The staff was kind and very helpful enjoyable. The doctor was very knowledgeable and explain the situation well. He gave me full attention in time. And he made a recommendation based on his understanding outside of his environment.
