A 'so called' positive review states that it's peoples own fault for seeing traffic originating from this company because: "you publicly exposed your ip on the Internet". Well, that is not how IP-addresses work. They are public by default! Just don't blame people for having an internet connection. Fight the entities that try to break into other peoples systems. My Experience is that this company keeps hitting my firewall every second and does not stop. I have not requested any service from them, I am not a customer and have therefore not given my consent to keep attacking my infrastructure. I don't consider this behavior 'research', I see it as a criminal enterprise that deserves blocking.

All these people who coplain that there buissness is being hacked because of it need to grow a brain its not there fault you publicly exposed your ip on the Internet

We contacted Censys after seeing one of our sites under a constant attack from their Ip ranges. Their systems were attempting "IPsec / L2tp" login attempts. Upon contacting them they claimed their systems do not attempt to access services which is an outright lie. They also began hitting my offices equipment which meant they were also watching connected streams from our clients router. Censys appear to be hackers hiding behind the guise of a legitimate security company. Or they have users abusing their software. Regardless we've added all their Ip ranges to our shared blacklists. we've also reported them to the authorities.

This company offers No opt out option of their PERSISTANT scanning of servers! We never enrolled for any scanning or interaction with the company. I also mailed Censys support on the issue, but they just don't care. Evening adding firewall rules to block their scans, still cause hundreds of unnecessary log entry's. Please do not support this company.

This company is dodgy AF! They attack our servers without permission and after asking them to stop, they still do it. And to make it worse, they added me to their mailing list and despite unsubscribing, they keep spamming me!! THEY ARE DODGY CRIMINAL CROOKS! And I have begun reporting them everywhere I can! I suggest you do the same and AVOID THESE CRIMINALS AT ALL COSTS!!

Shodan free plan is not useful but Censys is different. I use this over year but I don't need paid plan. This is best scanner.

I use this site all the time to locate sites behind Cloudflare. Great site, keep it up!

Just tracked 8 unwanted login attempts to an FTPS server on a private IP, from 2 IPs belonging to Censys. If this were a Europe based company, I would send this on to reinforcements cyber crime division.
