Different way of doing business but overall satisfied
This was my first time buying from CellarRaiders. Digging through the website and making the purchase was easy but the shipping process was vague and questionable. I went to check out and there was no shipping charges but just a message that I would be contacted about shipping arrangements- which was a yellow flag as I usually like to know my final costs upfront when buying online. That's the norm with most online shopping. I was never formally contacted, but a couple days later, I received a $19 additional charge to my credit card and then immediately an email from FedEx informing me of a shipment that would require a signature. I put 2 and 2 together and assumed that was their way of contacting me about shipping arrangements. I'm not mad, but it was confusing and seems like the shipping charges could be noted upfront and integrated into the purchase process in checkout. I mean, even eBay sellers let you know your shipping costs upfront and it's part of the fees noted in checkout. Other than that, the wine was shipped quickly and arrived safely and well packed for its cross-country journey. I'll be back but I hope that next time the shipping charges are stated before or during checkout.
