The worst customer service ive ever had. EVER. The oversized long hair guy was not a sales person. He was obviously on hourly and didn't care about anything with a short temper and lacks any skills to be in that feild.

Cell Base, Yarm Went in for a replacement iPhone camera lens cover. The female assistant (who was actually quite pleasant) had a look at their displays but couldn’t find one. She then asked another guy working there if they had any in stock, to which he just replied ‘no’ and looked as though he just couldn’t be bothered. I asked if they were expecting anymore stock and received a reply from the same guy of ‘we won’t have any for a while’. What does that mean - weeks, months, years?!! Have used them a few times in the past with no problems, but today’s experience has made me think again.

Cell base in Yarm Bought a reconditioned ipad 3 weeks ago. The guy on the counter was so unfriendly I would not return. iPad ok!

Cell base Altrincham. Absolutely criminal this shop. Bought my grandson a iPhone with a six month warranty I've had it exactly 3 months 11days and has been back to the shop to be repaired and they have charged me even under Warranty. It still isn't working and under the consumer act 2015 I have a right to a refund but they refuse even though they are breaking the law and the warranty is still valid. I paid 25 pound for a new apple battery to be put in it and it turns out it's just a random cheap one. Thinkthars fraud. Their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on and they make up any excuse not to refund you. They've basically stolen nearly 300 pound of a child. Now I have to get my credit card issuer to try and get a charge back. I reported them to trading standards because what they are doing is criminals Dishonest thieves.

I went to get a replacement for my old phone and ended up with a "new" Chromebook tablet as well. Everything went pear-shaped. My data wasn't removed, from either my old phone or my existing Chromebook. It was impossible to sign in on the old Chromebook. Their "expert" couldn't fix it. So the data could not be transferred to my new device. They didn't give me a receipt so I was told I could neither return it or sell it back to them. I gave up and took the Chromebook to an EXPERT who sorted it out for me. And even I managed to wipe the data from my old phone and despite the fact that there was a password issue with my old Chromebook, I succeeded wiping that too. Cell Base couldn't. Some experts. Oh I forgot to mention that the "new" chromebook tablet I was sold was conveniently 5 months out of the one year warranty which meant I couldn't even buy an extended warranty from the manufacturer.

Terrible service. Was selling an iPhone 14 Pro, Was almost ripped off for over £100 when the guy tried to say there was “deep scratches”, I took the phone back and rubbed it a little, there were no scratches at all but he was still trying to say it wasn’t in great condition. Terribly dishonest. There wasn’t scratches, it was immaculate, and then I got over £100 more at Cash Converters. Also had a (fully working, only cracked) iPad screen fixed on the same day, got it back and 25% of the upper screen was intermittently not working. Took it back shortly after and they replaced it for free (apparently) however it still doesn’t work with the exact same issue, so they’ve either not replaced it at all, or they have replaced it incorrectly (again), or replaced it with another faulty screen. Wont go back again so have to take the £60 loss.

I bought an iPhone XS from Cell Base though eBay. On my order it said it was "NEW SEALED Apple iPhone XS 64GB 256GB 512GB Unlocked Device Smartphone WITH BOX" When I had a problem of ghosting (the device entering letters and numbers without me touching the screen) I took it to my local Apple Store and they ran diagnostics and their report stated that the screen needed replacing. Additionally they told me that the phone was not new and had been first registered with them in Nov 2018. Trying to contact Cell Base by phone and e-mail has resulted in no response at all from them. They offer a 12 months Warranty on purchases, but how can you enquire about this when they are uncontactable?

A cautionary tale for IPhone users If you are told your i phone is water damaged beyond repair - worth taking out of case and waiting a few days to see if it dries out!! I wish I had 😥 I was informed my old phone was water damaged in Cell Base in Yarm and that I’d need a new phone as it couldn’t be repaired. £550 later I was quite happy as staff very pleasant and helpful but now I feel v ripped off and rather stupid as when I plugged the old one in yesterday morning just to see (which was a week later) it worked. I absolutely accept that Cell Base staff weren’t to know this but all I was offered for the phone that I bought literally 7 days before was £250!! If I sold it to them for that they’d have effectively charged me £37.50 a day to hire a phone and also then sold it on presumably for not much less than I paid. Never mind lesson learned - shop online next time.
