I'm sorry to hear that you haven't received your book! We do not have any record of an order placed under your name, or having received any emails from you. We've reached out to see if we can assist. Updated 9/28: We have reached out to this individual to request more information about the order and have not received a reply. We believe they intended this review for a different company.

Hi Terri, we're sorry to hear you were unhappy with your experience ordering an out-of-stock book. We provide detailed information about backorders on our website (https://catholicbooksdirect.com/pages/backorder-policy) and are always happy to answer your questions via phone or email. Unfortunately, when a book is backordered, we rarely have any information to share until the book returns to stock, at which point it is immediately shipped to you. Prior to that, unless we learn of an unexpected delay, there are rarely any "updates" that we can pass along.

While we certainly don't engage in false advertising, we understand that you intended to purchase a different book than the one you ordered. That's not a problem at all and you are welcome to return the book for a full refund.

I see that you contacted us via email and that your email was responded to within a matter of minutes with an offer to replace or refund your item. Unfortunately, it seems you were not receiving our email messages. I do see that you were able to get in contact with us the morning before writing this review and that we promptly refunded your order as you requested. Unfortunately, technical glitches do happen on occasion and junk mail filters can get in the way. We regret that you had trouble reaching us.
