Thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the shipping cost you were charged. Our small family business breaks even on our shipping charges - we are not looking to make a profit on shipping. The item you purchased from us was only $2.25, and there is nowhere near enough profit margin in such an item to subsidize the nearly $4 it costs for us to ship it to you, which is why we charge a modest shipping fee.

I ordered 9 pocket gospels
I ordered 9 pocket gospels , but only 3 were on hand and have been received. I am confident the remainder will be coming in time….stocking gifts.

Everything was fine except for some…
Everything was fine except for some slight bruises that came from the package in shipping that are at the end of the day negligible. I would recommend upgrading your package protection for the greatest possible satisfaction.

Overall Good Service
I really liked the price of the book I purchased, and I can't dispute the delivery time. However, when my book arrived, the book was slightly bent and had a bit of the package's adhesive stuck to it. I will definitely purchase more books through that website though.

Great price and free shipping!…
I ordered the Daily Roman Missal and Catholic Books Direct had the best price and free shipping. The book was shipped in an Jiffy bag envelope that was lined with bubble wrap on the inside. This wasn't adequate to fully protect the book during shipping and the shipping process caused the corners of the book to become rounded. The damage wasn't serious enough to warrant return of the book. An inner box or another layer of bubble wrap should have been used to prevent this damage. If not for the slight shipping damage, I would have rated Catholic Books Direct 5 stars.

Thank you for your feedback! We're sorry to hear that your book arrived damaged. We actually use envelope mailers for many books because – though you wouldn't expect it – we find they reduce the risk of damaged books. It sounds like that was not the case this time, though! I see you mentioned that you do not want to return the book, but if you change your mind, we'd be happy to exchange it for an undamaged copy - just send us an email at [email protected] with your order number and we can take care of it.
