We're sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience on our website! At the time your order was placed, the items you ordered were out of stock and on backorder. We clearly display this information directly next to the "Add to Cart" button, as well as in the shopping cart itself. Unfortunately, it sounds like you may not have noticed this. It also appears that you contacted us on 12/17 with regard to your order and we replied within a few hours advising you at that time that your books were on backorder and would be shipping soon. We did not hear back from you with regard to this message. On occasion, email messages can get caught in "spam" or junk mail filters. Should you ever have any trouble reaching us you are welcome to give us a call at (877) 673-9154 for assistance by phone. Email messages are never ignored and if you do not receive a response to an email message, you are welcome to give us a call. ​We do apologize if the stock status was at all confusing and hope you will share your feedback if there is any way we can make it clearer as we do not want people to have any unexpected surprises with regard to backorders!

Hi Alicia! We attempted to reach out to you about your order on November 18 but received no reply, and you did not provide a phone number with your order that we could reach you at. The address you provided was invalid and the USPS was unable to deliver to it. We have reached out again via email to assist you.

We do apologize if this was unclear in any way - we try to make it as obvious as possible on the website if something is on backorder so you may make an informed choice. The two items you have not yet received are on backorder. If you take a look at our website you will note that it very clearly states that they are out of stock, and to add an additional 2-12 business days for them to return to stock. We do apologize if this was unclear in any way and have reached out to see if we can assist further. Thanks for your order.

I wish you had contacted us for assistance earlier as our customer service team is always available to help, but it appears this review is the only way you've attempted to contact us. It looks like you placed two orders with us and both shipped out on the same day they were placed. An automated shipment notification was sent to your email. Both orders seem to have been delivered by the USPS. The tracking number for the shipment is 9400111108104825887365. We do apologize for the inconvenience! We clearly list on our website when a book is out of stock - on the product page, in the shopping cart, during the checkout process, and in the receipt email that gets sent to you. Unfortunately, in your case, there was a mistake on our part. Due to a situation with a customer return, our website briefly (for just a few minutes) showed that there was 1 copy of this book in stock. Unfortunately, you had the misfortune to look at that book at just that moment. I do see that you were notified of the backorder and that it was quickly canceled when you requested it be canceled. As a small family-owned business, we take customer feedback seriously and are sorry to hear that you felt this was a one-star experience. While no human can completely eliminate mistakes, if there was anything we could have done better to communicate with you regarding this error, we welcome your feedback.
