I was sent the incorrect order (grey instead of black, as requested). I contacted Castlegrade and was assured that a replacement shipment would be made with the black masks within two weeks. This was over four weeks ago and I still have not received the black masks that I had paid for. I have written back to Castlegrade a number of times and they have referred to the original (incorrect) shipment and ask me to "check with my neighbors" to see if it was delivered to them in error. I have sent Castlegrade a copy of the email (see below) but now get no answers from them at all. Very disappointed. From Castlegrade on 10/05/2020: Hi Bruce, I will have black shipped to you in approximately two weeks when they are available again. All the best, Hope UPDATE: Castlegrade recognized the error and corrected it. I received a package today with my corrected order. I appreciate their efforts to correct this issue.

Effective mask with high quality filter inserts.

TLDR; - CastleGrade protects ME and OTHERS and is by far the most effective, readily available, filtered mask that makes me feel safe in an unsafe, Pandemic-y world. I literally cannot live without it. While I am by no means a "front line worker" like our brave doctors, nurses, and ER personnel, as a public interest lawyer who faced returning to court and dealing with the public and incarcerated individuals, I had a TON of anxiety about wearing the right kind of mask....not just the look and how I would sound in it (I litigate...so LOTS of talking), but also protection for me and protection for others as well. I went on a buying spree....crowd funded, organic cotton masks....and one of my co-workers showed off two masks on a work Zoom call (one the CO2 from Canada and the other looked like the CastleGrade mask but I couldn't remember what it was called and i think he said he got it mail order). After Google'ing for hours, I found CastleGrade (looked exactly like the one I saw). From my experience with ... ahem....novelties *cough* sex toys *cough*, I knew that medical grade, food grade sillicone is a wonderful "barrier" material...non pourous, inhibits growth of things like bacteria, mold, etc, (bacteria can't cling to the surface and propogate), easily cleaned and more importantly can be BOILED at high temperatures (which ROASTS baddie viruses dead) to sanitize. And from what I could see and what I've seen on the internet, the CG filters are not only affordable and lasted longer than the one day recommended for disposable N95 or most filter media, but it would appear they passed all the necessary tests to be practically a 99% filter for the air being breathed into the mask. Add to all this, USA MADE....and SOLD. I can tell you this: since I have returned to work (September 2020) while many have remarked and even snickered at my CastleGrade mask, I have felt so safe that sometimes I even forget to socially distance from others (who are also wearing masks) because I know FOR SURE my CasteGrade mask and filters protect ME and protects OTHERS. And when i get home, I get to wash it and clean it in my own OCD way, dry, and repeat! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR.......BUY CASTLEGRADE and BE A CASTLEMASKER!!! For reference purposes, I have an Etee Planet organic cotton mask (nice, well made basic mask), a Germless N120 mask (terrible customer service - told I would get mask in 7 days, no response via email even from the president of the company himself, finally got them...effective but can be hot and stuffy and itchy due to the material, plus sizing was off and key...I basically need to size down or the seal is not right....additionally the bendable frame at the top is fine but then at the bottom it invariably doesn't quite get close to the chin and jawline; annnnd their mask with a face shield is POO POO), I have Graf Lantz over the head masks (these are my other preferred cloth type mask...I just cut up paper towels and insert them as a filter), I funded the AusAir mask which to be honest started as an anti pollution mask....it's spongey skin is illfitting (the company is already making redesigns on it from the original type I received), it has valves but even when you put in the block out valve, I just have concerns about the nature of how it fits into the mask and filter overall, filters are def hardcore and cool, but again ill fitting and smaller than expected, and I funded the Leaf Mask UV Pro but have yet to receive it (also read some shenanigans that IndieGogo at first refused to release most of the funds raised because the company was late with providing scaleable production plans). BTW my OCD doesn't permit me NOT to try out all the sizes. So I've tried a large and a small mask. Small fits my face better but I'm actually considering a kids size (when it comes to measurements, follow the diagram on CG's website....I sized based on my previous cotton masks and bought a large at first. But hey....my husband gets to use it!)

The Castlegrade mask is the only mask I feel safe wearing when I am out in public at the grocery store or anywhere that I am around people. I love how easy it is to replace the filter, and that the mask is washable for easy cleaning. Note: I have a hawk shaped nose and the mask is uncomfortable if I wear it for an hour or longer, due to the pressure it puts on the ridge of my nose. I have learned that they Castlegrade will have a new mask design in a couple months that might suit my face shape a little better. I'll try that one to see if it is more comfortable. I recommend the Castlegrade mask to all of my friends and family. I have given several as gifts.

The most comfortable and effective mask I’ve ever used. Easy to maintain, changing the replacement filters is so simple. Great design, and it won’t fog your glasses!

This mask seems truly protective, if any of them are. It is easy to change the filters. It is unfortunate that there are no specific standards for this type of equipment, so it is a guessing game for consumers who want protection from COVID-19 as well as protection for others. We all must do the best we can. but Castlegrade got our votes.

Best mask I’ve purchased and haven’t looked back. Tight seal even with a beard and most importantly no more foggy glasses.

This mask is excellent, and remarkably comfortable. It's affordable because it can be cleaned easily and we'll. I feel safer wearing it any time I go out. I have recommended it to friends; I recommend it to everyone.
