I purchased a Case peanut in yellow delrin. 1. The top of the main blade had been caught by a grinding wheel and left a jagged rough gouge in the edge. 2. The main blade is curved like a banana and is touching the left hand side casing. Clearly poor heat treatment. 3. The main blade is so badly and unevenly sharpened it failed to cut through a piece of copy paper. 4. The front end bolster had a missing edge after being punched out of sheet metal. An attempt was made by the factory to remove the flaw by sanding the bolster on one side more than the other. It created a flat sloping edge and still left some of the missing edge visible. Really unacceptable, it should have been scrapped. 5. The whole knife was covered in micro scratches caused by not removing the course scratches before it was polished. This is my first and last Case knife. A sign of the times. I've had Gibson and Fender guitars also with poor quality control. Its what happens when companies are owned by corporations.
