I purchased a vehicle that is listed…
I purchased a vehicle that is listed with no transmission issues, only minor chips and a thrust rob bushing, i went through the website internal systems to purchase the car and ship it, it arrived with a slipping clutch and very undriveable un like what the listing said, contact both seller and website the said to get a diagnosis by the bmw dealer so the can have the seller help with the repair, i did that and once i showed the seller the report he stopped responding, the website took zero accountability and told me i should have done more research as if i didnt go through the whole listing and didnt see any mention of transmission issues, They refused to help at all and all the could do is refund 275$ buyer fee and ban the seller, bit late if you ask me letting someone sell a broken car under a listing that says its almost perfect is very scammy.
Response from Cars & BidsJun 5, 2025
We're sorry to hear that you had a negative experience on Cars & Bids. Unfortunately, we are unable to physically inspect each car that is listed on the site. In these rare cases where a car was materially misrepresented, we work with the buyer and seller to come to an amicable solution. If we are unable to do so, we may, at our discretion, refund our buyer's fee as an act of good faith. If we find a seller to have misrepresented a vehicle, they are immediately and permanently removed from the platform. Please contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions.
