I don't like how everything is being…handled and the uncertainty
I don't like how everything is being handled. I understand Carnival is a business. My cruise was booked for April 13--18, we had until March 31st to decide on cancelling, as the letter stated. In actuality is the dates was broken down for a certain discount. I was told that up until March 15th, I would receive 1051.00 back and the 834.00 would go to a future cruise. After the 16th your refund would get less. This is not the consumers fault, so regardless we should get our money back. Also we wouldn't be able to go to the ports we booked, Carnival picked what was available to them. I booked for Jamaica specifically and Carnival couldn't go. I truly understand that it is a loss for the Cruise line, but please consider your patrons.

This is my first time going on a cruise…
This is my first time going on a cruise I was so excited I heard so many great things about cruises. But as time went on I was disappointed I went to Ensenada on the Carnival imagination from Long Beach. So as first-time cruisers my husband and I were kind of lost but once we got on the ship we were hit with buying the alcohol beverages. After we bought a very expensive beverage we went to our room and was hit with people trying to get us to go to the jewelry show. Then we got hit with taking photos and started to feel like we’re being pressured to buy things. Our room was nice but my major complaint was when I first went to the public bathroom it was dirty and there was blood in the toilet. Also there was ice cream next to the elevator for two days it started to smell and I told the workers about it and then they cleaned it up. They charge 80% gratuity on all purchases we bought some California rolls we went up to the counter and brought it back they didn’t even give us a napkin but they charge us 18% gratuity for a serving ourselves. We miss both dinners because we couldn’t find the restaurant we were lost so my advice is go with somebody who’s been on a cruise. At no time did anybody ask us if we needed help or how our trip was going or anything like that it is pretty scary for first-time cruisers and it would’ve been nice if we had someone we could go to for help. Then they were having to raise money for Children’s Hospital and want us to buy shirts and all the activities or entertainment cost money I wanted to play bingo but the cards were $40 and we were to spend a lot to get here . Then you can do a peer pong tournament or build a Bear workshop or bingo or karaoke or go to the comedy club 75 to 80% of the things to do cost you more money. We went into Ensenada without paying for an excursion and that was quickly becoming boring. The room was nice and I enjoyed being on the water but other than that it was boring and disappointing.

Carnival Cruise from…
I have taken the Carnival Cruise from LA to Capo San Lucas and ending in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The food is nice particularly in the restaurant during dinner and the waiters are Above normal friendly, they are super, may be too friendly!!
The waiters are from very different nations and are very hard working. Mr. I putu, Indonesia, mr. I Gust, Indonesia and Chintia Marcela, Peru!!
You are excellent! Waitess Elisabeth made several mistakes but she probably had a tough evening, calling a guess another name is not so much fun then its better not to use guests first name!! We actually do not care if u use our first name!!
Do not buy any jewels on the ship when u start the cruise it gets cheaper the last day so does T shirts!
Do not fall for the sale trap of buying a booklet (25 $)for reduced prices on jewels etc. and the crap of U being a VIP to get in to the tender boats when arriving Capo San Lucas!!
One morning the Cruise director yelled some information over the loud speakers at 7.30 AM!!! though he excused a couple of hours later it was not enough to wake up a thousand people like that, it was NOT URGENT information.
The communication at Carnival Splendor is rather poor, the first formal dinner night " make it your time dining" but it was NOT, we found out it was necessary to book a seating, very unfortunate when u are hungry and have to wait 30 min to get a table!!
There are MUSIC EVERYWHERE and its loud and noisy, there is too much focus on the young people using this cruise though more than half of the guests are 50PLUS!!
Cabin staff was very nice and helpful. I would never take this trip again.
