Overall experience was poor. Been on multiple cruises and three distinct cruise lines. Entertainment venues for Carnival were smaller and variety of entertainment poorer than other experiences. Food felt the same most nights. Staff didn't go out of their way to get to know us. The unlimited drinks was not unlimited (worse yet, when you exceed you are completely unable to purchase drinks). They watch you like a hawk and make it difficult to get drinks. Bought a $70 necklace that tarnished in a month. They did nothing to help get us from airport to the dock due to an uncontrollable flight issue. They committed to refund the shuttle cost and later completely backed out. It was all profits and no service. Never felt like a number until this experience.......Now, the customer services??? Oh, it was truly legend. What customer service? When talking with the agent, they were more concerned with meeting their call metrics (how long they were on with me) than actually resolving the issue. It was unbelievable, I would never take another cruise with Carnival. Royal Carib all day long.

Hi my husband paid our cruise in full of $935! Due to the corona virus we decided to not go and now we're penalize $361 out the $935 we paid knowing this virus is a state of emergency to the world!!
Hi, My name is Tammy Mason- Mcclain and my husband is Derrick McClain... I am writing this review because we was booked, my husband paid $935.28 with his debit card, and we was ready to go on the cruise in April! But now Due to the out break of the Corona virus the cruise has made us worry about our health Because we just heard that a few people was on a cruise and got sick. Therefore I am concern because i suffer from severe asthma as well, So with that being said could you please consider a full refund because we was penalized $361 out of the $935.28 that we paid and it's not our fault about the serious and deadly health issues thats going on and spreading all over the world and the news about this deadly virus didn't come out to the world until after we had done paid our money in full! Booking NO: D63XC9 Thank You, Tammy Mason- McClain & Derrick McClain

I am Requesting a full refund due to the current State of CA and National Emergency due to the Corona Virus. I am immunocompromised due to recently having the Flu, Bronchitis and double ear infections. As well as I am an insulin dependent diabetic. This makes me more susceptible to the virus than others.
Thank you.

I would highly advise against going on…
I would highly advise against going on a carnival cruise. Especially if you think you might need to cancel. Me and my fiancé were going on the Carnival Elation in January 2020. We had to cancel due to me finding out I was pregnant and that being too close to the due date. I called Carnival to cancel and they told me I would receive a refund of everything we paid except the deposit. Okay, great that is fine. We expected to not get the deposit back, but all least the rest of it that we had paid. We waited and waited on the refund, and we never received it. I was back and forth with the cruise line at least 20 times on the phone about where is the money. They could not help me at all. Bad customer service. I will NEVER cruise with them again, nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. Thanks a lot Carnival, you all suck! -one very angry frequent customer.

My Family and I booked a christmas…
My Family and I booked a christmas cruise from 12-23-19 to 12-27-19. Departing from long Beach California, well on 12/23/19 driving to long Beach from Las Vegas,Nv,We ran into bad weather which made us miss the Cruise,However 2 of our family members did make the cruise, and we was talking to cruise while on our way and the cruise did inform my family that was on the cruise that they would extended a 30 min grace, well we made it within that time and still was denied to board ship. so we contacted carnival the next day and was informed if we met the ship on 12-25-29 in Enspenda Mexico that we can board then and we also let them know at that time that only 2 family members had passports an the other 2 did not,and we still was told we can board, Well we did go to mexico on 12-25-19, only the 2 that have passports was able to get on ship and the other 2 was not. I am writing this review because I fully understand that if I miss the ship because of our lateness, then I could understand but unfortunally have no control over weather ,and your crew told us we could board ship and also went to mexico and still didnt get on,We have paid expenses that was not planned,4 nights in hotel,4 days of meals and rental car,At this point I am asking carnival to at least refund trip or replace with another cruise, I have also spoken to alot of employees from your company and still have not resolved this, I do Thank you for your time and cooparation on this Matter.

They say you get what you pay for
They say you get what you pay for. But the problem is that we purchased 2 most expensive rooms on the Carnival Fascination. At first glance, the price for VIP rooms (“state rooms”) seemed very reasonable. But the price covers the room only and nothing else. Besides basic food you need to pay for everything, even bottled water. We were told that the best way to optimize with drinks was to buy a drinking package. But even if one of two people in a room doesn’t drink you need to pay for both people to have packages, and each package for 7 days is almost $1000. Before the departure, representatives of Carnival told us by phone that a person with a drinks package could share – and get drinks for another person; but once on ship, we actually had to purchase separate packages for two daughters. Also, even if you have a package – you must wait at least 5 minutes to order a second drink (even non-alcoholic). So you can’t order coffee and a bottle of water, without having to pay extra.
18% gratitude of the stateroom price per each person is a mandatory and shows on your final bill. So we had to pay for 4 people.
The size of the VIP rooms is the size of a regular room on the other ships. The balcony is big enough to place two regular chairs but it’s actually not wide enough to sit comfortably and stretch the legs. The ship is very outdated and, regardless of the cleaning crew doing the best job they can, looks filthy. Pillows and blankets were stinky and after our complaint were replaced without a problem. But multiple complaints about nightly bites on legs by fleas didn’t have any results. Although they checked on the beds nothing was done to eliminate the problem. Also, no Anti-itching medication was offered and medical treatments are not free.
Even though we were told that you could bring one bottle of a favorite drink per person onboard, a bottle of very nice French champagne was confiscated from our suitcase and, according the management, liquidated. They said that it had to be put into a carry-on, not regular luggage – but the bottles in the other family members’ suitcases were left untouched.
In general, the majority of the crew are pleasant and doing their jobs well, working around the clock. The only exception was a bartender at the bar next to the guest service who several times made us feel unwelcome.
The food was OK considering the size of the ship. Overall, it appears that Carnival, the company, is the problem – they have a number of inconsistent policies and they aren’t interested in treating their guests well. Several issues we tried to address with the representatives both on the phone (before the sailing) and onboard were met with “I’m sorry, I can’t do anything”.
We were very lucky meeting some great people on the cruise. Otherwise it would be a very expensive yet unpleasant experience.
Buyer beware – there are lots of hidden charges on Carnival, so what you think your vacation will cost and what your vacation will cost are two very different prices.

Is this Customer Service?
Terrible customer service from Carnival. Just had our cruise cancelled because new ship not going to be ready....this can happen however Carnival are not interested in compensation to cover the loss of the holiday and associated travel plans which are now screwed. Would not consider taking a Carnival cruise in future based on this level of customer service. They are not interested.
