1st time ever cruising 4 days Sydney to morton bay they ran out of supplies of simple things how can you run out when you know exactly how many are coming on board Certain things dont open till after 9pm eg casino and you ask workers in that are they dont know anything found out by a passenger Staff friendly but if you work in a area you should be verse on your area Food lines could be worked on it was mad we had to state times early or late dont know why because it did not seem to matter Then last day at sea Friday could not buy certain items at it stopped at noon why we did not even get told I can say if I got offered a free 4 day cruise again I would pass if it was with carvinal

Bad experience
Just did what could be my last cruise with Carnival this was my wives first cruise so I was more excited for her. First there was hair in her food on day two then we both noticed a worker pushing carts and wiping up messy tables but then without washing her hands touching utensils where food is. Third the day at sea coming back to port (Galveston) early morning my wife had just got out the shower and was laying on the bed naked we had the balcony curtain pulled to get some sunlight in the room and then all of a sudden a carnival worker walks across our balcony. They said they gave notice on the doors but I didn’t have one but not only that we hadn’t even been out the room yet so how would we know it was a notice. They do pretty much all announcements over the PA system so why not announce that you are going to be cleaning balconies. Better yet why not clean them once you port cause the boat is there from 7am til 3pm I was told by Ron who was the supervisor on Carnival Breeze he’d get back to me and I’ve heard nothing. I can see they have 1.3 star reviews so this may not do any thing to keep ppl aware. But I do not recommend them anymore over the years the food has gotten worse and as well as the customer service

Carnival Vista
The ship is very tired and in need of modernisation.
The food was average at best and very small portions with no choice of vegetables apart from one sprig of broccoli
There was no choice of teas available, only breakfast tea and Green tea and the coffee was too strong and bitter (I have been on 30 cruises and this is the first time that there has been no choice of teas). When you sell these cruises to British Travel agents you need to cater for the British customers too.
4. There was only bacon available every second day and we weren't allowed to help ourselves to it.
5. There is no 'proper' theatre and although the ship's entertainment crew did their best, it wasn't good enough and you need to get outside acts in like you did before covid (surely you have clawed back the millions you lost by now).
6. The comedians in the Limelight and Liquid lounge were okay but after seeing a comedian for a couple of nights we were bored and wanted to see a good act.
7. Your policy states that on Gala night no shorts are to be worn in the main dining room, yet your dining room staff were letting them in and when I mentioned it to them I was told that they don't say anything anymore as the customers get upset. It wasn't nice going into the main dining room in our finery and being the odd ones out when in fact it should have been the other way round.
8. The stops in port were far too short.
9. The drinks were way too expensive and the drink package was also way too much money.
10. Our cabin had paint splashes all over the balcony floor which looked scruffy.

Very Disappointing Experience
Very Disappointing Experience
I had high hopes but was left extremely disappointed. The food quality was subpar, and the variety was very limited. Honestly, it felt like a complete rip-off for the price. If there's one positive, it’s that the meals are so unappealing that if you’re trying to lose weight, this might be the place for you. The lack of flavor and excitement means you’ll likely end up eating less, but that’s about the only benefit. At list stuff very friendly

FIRST AND LAST CARNIVAL CRUISE
We were on a Carnival Paradise chartered cruise Oct. 19-24, 2024. Our first impression came at the bar on Deck 7. There were people 3-4 deep at each chair at the bar with 2 bartenders. We timed the bartender after we ordered, and it took 14 minutes to get our drinks. We had a similar wait at the Blue Iguana and the Rotterdam bars, and we never got served in the Normandie Lounge. We ate in the Paris Restaurant buffet each morning for breakfast and dinner one night. The food selection was the same every day. The meats, whether ribs or chicken, were dried out and drowned in sauce. We ate in the Elation dining room. The food selection was mediocre at best and the service was even worse. The daily menu is on the Hub app, but we were not always able to access the Hub. We were not offered a paper menu from which to order. My husband ordered a drink when we gave our dinner order and didn't receive it until we got our dessert. We like to eat bread, we kept asking for them to leave the basket, and they would just give us one piece at a time. The last night, we were offered white or red wine with dinner, I don't drink either, so I ordered a rose. While other dinner guests were having their glasses refilled, I was not asked if I wanted another glass. I honestly don't know if Carnival slacked because it was a charter, so they didn't think they had to offer their best, but this was my first and last cruise with Carnival. Very disappointing considering the first impression I got from the CEO Christine Duffy was VERY positive. Perhaps she is not aware of the level of service.

Less upkeep, but friendly staff
I went on a Carnival Cruise Line ship for the first time. If you go on a Royal Caribbean Cruise Line ship before going on Carnival then you will be let down. We went on Carnival Horizon which is newer than Harmony of the Sea, and Carnival does not do upkeep on their ships. That is for sure the price difference, along with all the differences in quality of meals, etc. There was rusted and broken dividers on our balcony, and MOLD in our room and showers, I did not expect that on a 6 year old ship! I will say that the staff was very friendly and sweet though🩷
Harmony of the Seas came out in 2016 and is much nicer and I couldn't spot one damage. I guess that's what you get when choosing the cheaper option. I'd much rather go on a Royal Caribbean Cruiseline ship any day!

I just cruised Carnival Liberty from Port Canaveral
I just cruised Carnival Liberty from April 22-26. I had a nice balcony view. Other than the fridge not working everything seemed great. After the first night I began sneezing uncontrollably. After The second night I woke up with a skin rash all over, swollen eyes, itching throat accompanied with serious throat itching. I used my epi pen and was ok I thought. The third day was the worse as my hubby scanned the room to find what was causing this and he discovered mold in the bathroom in the shower. I’m highly allergic to mold and pet dander. I took photos of my body and the mold and headed to guest services. They offered me a trip to the nurse at my expense at which I declined. They said they needed to clean the room but I had to be out of the room for 4 hours. So as they inconvenienced me with a 10 month old who also began sneezing and coughing I had to sit outside for 4 hours. When I returned to see if the room was ready I was told by guest services that they didn’t find any mold. However, when I returned to the room it was bleach fumed. Which upset me even the more. Because if there was no mold WHY BLEACH THE ROOM?? Causing more breathing issues. Also they totally forgot the photos I had taken and showed them earlier. At that time they offered me a bottle of champagne and strawberries sent to my room. I explained to them that this was a slap in the face as my vacation was ruined and I don’t drink Champagne. I received a blank stare and was told I could change rooms. I was exhausted and declined. I absolutely Love Carnival Liberty. My room attendant YanYan was the absolute Best I’ve had on any cruise line and Milo in the dining room was the best. But I will never Cruise Liberty again. I’m now back home still suffering from symptoms from the mold and Sad to say my vacation was ruined.

Baltimore Port Closure
I have a cruise out of Baltimore scheduled for 5/5/2024. I have been checking daily my emails and Carnival website for updates on the port closure. Carnival finally sent an email today advising they are moving this cruise out of and return to Norfolk. Was told there would be a $300 cancelation fee (as I am out of NY and I can't purchase their insurance). And it's $300 because it's past the cancelation. Was told the cancelation charge would be $300 because it's after the cancelation date. As everyone knows this wasn't a natural disaster, but man made (both the government for not maintaining bridges and the ship captain. I checked and the flight to Norfolk is cost double what it is to Baltimore. I'm over 5 hours away from Baltimore and Norfolk adds another 5 hours. They are offering bus service, but do not guarantee you a seat. For the inconvenience they are offering a $100 shipboard credit. This is upsetting and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I called and was just read what the email I received today said. I just want to cancel and put the money that I have paid towards a cruise when Baltimore becomes operational again. I'm sure there are a lot of other angry cruisers especially those with plane reservations that can't be changed. To fly into Baltimore in the afternoon, there is no way you would make it to Norfolk prior to ship leaving. Carnival needs to be a bit more flexible.
