Carelinx is a good company to work for but my only concern is the app. I had difficulty navigating through the app and it takes longer to get assistance. And also somethings it's difficulty to get something one the phone when you need help. I am not happy with my pay rate I deserve more than that. Based on my experience.

The care advisor are hard to contact with, can’t call or text back!

For the service fee charged, CareLinx doesn't provide enough service. Their dedicated-to-your-account "care advisors" and "coordinators" work fixed hours, but I've found that they don't stick to those hours, forcing you to call an 800 number for help. That defeats the personal touch. During a medical emergency with a caregiver, calls and texts went unanswered for 24 hours which kept the in-trouble caregiver from their emergency contact(s). Timesheets automatically approve (whether you like or not) in 2 days--something submitted late Friday is approved AND PAID by Sunday, before you can review it on Monday. Rejecting a timesheet for errors is fruitless--the system approves it anyway with no feedback to you (the employer). Coordinators don't intercede when you reject a timesheet since the system doesn't give them that visibility--you're powerless to prevent timesheet errors (or fraud). It seems the scale is tipped in favor of the caregivers--not the employer or patient. CareLinx employees are friendly, but not overly effective at succeeding at solving your problem(s) and certainly not up to best-in-class professionals with years of experience. For example, I was promised a schedule of multiple caregivers and expected CareLinx to arrange the whole thing--nope, basically they pointed me to multiple caregivers willing to work my loose schedule, but left it to me to do 100% of the hourly/scheduling logistics. I had assumed this was part of the basic service once I down-selected (interviewed and accepted) the caregivers. Not so. No summaries of timesheets, per-caregiver hours, or insurance submittals is provided--things that are simple given the database-driven system. You can only manually download each individual invoice--very cumbersome--and create your own spreadsheets. The CareLinx website and iOS app are buggy: messages re-appear or don't clear. "Back" doesn't work (neither browser nor iOS), forcing you back to Home. Many times I had video interviews via iOS and via Windows browser lock-up and not recover (on two different internet connections so wasn't a wi-fi problem). Overall, CareLinx is several notches better than Craigslist for finding caregivers, but could use an "extreme make-over" to CareLinx 2.0 before I would recommend their services. Lots here to like, but the company could be way, way better at their fundamental value proposition.

Website is hard to maneuver. Submitting timesheets never works for me.

As an employee of Carelinx I find it difficult to enter my work hours on my timesheet. I've tried following your instructions but I must still phone your terrific Customer Service Staff for assistance. They are dynamic!! I appreciate their patience, assistance and k ul nd words each time I've contacted your company.

Incapable to answer questions about job/client other than reading a memorized script generically Slow in getting a potential new client that has been referred Not thorough Same redundant care plan questions that are required to ask/answer at each visit. : example: have you had your annual check up? Why is this necessary, once a year should be enough. I think once typical questions have been answered, no need unless a change has occurred, Multiple of the same questions, very time consuming and irritating client. Clients ask me all the time, “ how many hours do I have left?” It would be most helpful if remaining hours or number of used hours were visible On the page in which we clock in just one for the suggestion box 😄 Now the positive: Thank you for providing continuing education classes free Badges: im clueless about badges, ive asked after receiving a notice I do not have and it would be conducive to attain them.. yet to receive an answer on how, .. Account advisors, thankful they are there. Thomas is thorough, returns calls asap and is available 👍 Many others need to step up their game. As a higher level professional private caregiver and participate with UHC Pilot Program, its been a productive thank you, but it seems since I have been invited to join their team, that is all I get, 2 hour jobs, when I am available to do overnights, and 4+ hour jobs. Carelinx is great in many ways, but there are some things that would make it even better. First, a place on the caregiver online profiles to show letters of recommendation. Second, a way to have both a 24 hour AND hourly rate option on timesheets for caregivers providing both kinds of shifts for a client during the same time period. At present there is no way to do this. Lastly, unless a client signs up for Homework Solutions (which is a free, wonderful option for both clients and caregivers) in order that payroll deductions can be shared by both, the caregiver ends up having to claim the work hours/income as "self-employment" which by IRS rules it really is not. This then makes the caregiver responsible for both sides of the payroll tax which is a big bite. Caregivers are responsible for reporting ALL their income every year unless that income is under the Federal reporting income limit. Carelinx's guidelines in this regard can put caregivers in a difficult position. Accommodation for respite and other program clients would be helpful so that all caregivers and clients can benefit from Homework Solutions services.

The care giver was lovely, but the arrangements for payment were unexpected. I thought i was going through an agency but in reality, I was paying for an independent contractor. The was never explained to me or was not clear.
