I feel like I'm more of a HOUSEKEEPER than a CAREGIVER!!

Hello La Toia, Thank you for providing your feedback. Please note that our company's goal is to place vetted caregivers with the families on our platform who are seeking non-medical care. This includes but is not limited to: Light Housekeeping, Meal Prep, Transportation, Bathing, Grooming, Companionship, Toileting, Mobility/Transferring, and Exercise Reminders. Caregivers are not considered 'housekeepers' when they are hired to provide families with assistance in that arena. It is a preventative non-medical careplan task that helps the families continue their quality of life while staying safe and independent in their home. The families are responsible for providing the cleaning products and tools for Caregivers to use and they receive a definition of 'light housekeeping' document that we share out with all parties involved as well to keep everyone on the same page and manage expectations. My experience so far….
I was offered an incentive that has been very difficult to receive otherwise I would have put a 5 star rating. I’ve called 3 times to check on the incentive pay and got different explanations each time. I really enjoy the family I am working for. They really need more hours per week. I have also been paid very quickly for time sheets.

Hello Ann, We appreciate your feedback in this review and would like to thank you for providing consistent care for the family you've began assisting. In regards to the incentive structure and pay out, once your first shift has been completed and the invoice has been submitted and paid out, our system initiates approval for the incentive pay out via the same payment method chosen through your account profile with us. The incentive pay out is separate from the invoice approval and payment and typically arrives 7-10 business days afterwards. We do see that you received assistance from a member of our Caregiver Support Team regarding your fourth incentive pay out which was contingent upon submission of your fourth invoice. Everyone is so nice, but there are some issues.
Everyone is so nice, but when I need help, no one is able to answer my questions. Still need help sometimes with clocking in and out and everyone I talked to said they are not responsible for that. Occasionally there is app trouble as well, and no one to talk to or give feedback about the app. Also, previous caregivers can still see current members and all of their current notes, even if they are no longer a caregiver for that person.

If you run into a future issue with the app or timesheets/clocking in/out etc. please take a screenshot and send us an email at: [email protected]. We value your input and apologize for any difficulties in communication that you may have experienced with our Care Advisors at any point. While our Care Advisors are available to assist with questions or concerns regarding the Families that you both help to support, they primarily support Families/Members and do not have guaranteed bandwidth to assist in certain aspects of Caregiver concerns. Distance issue
I recently realized ALL the jobs in my city are listed as '6 miles' away. Not helpful. Please give a more accurate distance in the future. Thanks. My agent at Carelinx was very good.

Very short shifts
I don’t like the fact that the shifts are usually no more than 2 hrs in length 1 day per week. They also do not pay for mileage which means you’ll be traveling to do the work for a small amount of money. Even if you have multiple clients you have to think about the wear and tear on your vehicle. The pay is decent however if you’re not getting more than 4 hours per shift it’s not worth it.

Hello Alicia, we appreciate your honest feedback in this review. While it is true that there are families on our platform who pace their shifts out in 2 hour minimums, there are some who prefer to have bi-weekly care resulting in 4 hour minimum shifts per visit. While others prefer to slate their time out in shifts as long as 8 hours at a time. Please note that our platform has job listings posted in your area with proposed schedules that you can apply to if interested. There is flexibility and autonomy in choosing the families you'd like to work with and building out a schedule that fits your goals. Our company does not charge Caregivers a percentage fee on invoices paid; this paired with our high hourly rates does help to offset the mileage that is not covered in the agreed upon pay rate. We understand that added mileage reimbursement would be a preferred benefit and thank you for your feedback on this matter.
