Hello Michael, We appreciate your feedback in this review and apologize that our business decision for 2024 has become an inconvenience to you. Our partnership with this third party tax vendor is ending as of 3/31/24, however as part of our communication of this change, our clients are informed that they can continue to manage their caregiver benefit taxes with this third party vendor directly which does include fees for their service. Opting out of the service allows you to have your caregiver work as a 1099 contractor vs. being an employee of yours where further costs can be incurred. With this in mind, you can work with your tax professional to clarify any questions, comments or concerns regarding caregiving taxes for 1099 contractors. We do see that your account was closed in 2021 after receiving confirmation that you'd no longer need our services due to being assisted by your family. Please note, as a part of the members' enrollment process, our Care Advisors and Enrollment Specialists are trained to provide an explanation of the careplan tasks avaialable to them along with a definition of the light housekeeping that can be done as a preventative measure of care in their home. We do have a document that outlines what is and is not considered light housekeeping that we can send out to members and caregivers to help ensure all parties are on the same page. If this is something that you feel may benefit you and the clients you are currently working with, please contact our team of dedicated specialists who can assist with sending out that document: 844-344-5374. You are correct in that we do not include heavy scrubbing, getting on ladders or any work outside of the home to be considered light housekeeping. It it our hope that this may resolve the disconnect you are currently feeling in regards to the light housekeeping expectations. In regards to the application and interview process; our Recruitment team does start with outreaching caregivers in the surrounding area of the job listing who may be interested in the position. After confirming interest, the assigned Care Advisor for the family will outreach the recommended candidates and look to get the family in touch with the candidate who may fit their needs best. We apologize if this communication feels redundant at times, however, it does help us to filter through the candidates for those who are responsive to our outreaches and ready to start work. Hello Hanna, We appreciate your taking time to relay feedback in this review. We understand that you were wanting to be hired as a W-2 employee with the family you are currently working with. Please note, the family has enrolled in our tax partner program which will allow taxes to be taken from your invoices and result in a W-2 during tax season. Currently we are awaiting the family's signature before any taxes can be taken out of your pay and the enrollment is considered complete. In this case, you can delay the first shift with the family until the paperwork has been signed, sent back and received. The colleague you were working with did not anticipate this standstill. If the family changes their decision and no longer wishes to participate in our tax partner program, you are welcome to work with other families on our platform that have already enrolled and signed the required paperwork.
