The concept of CareLinx is great, the execution could use some work
The concept of CareLinx is great, but our experience was a little bit uneven. The initial response from the CL staff was quick, but over time, it took longer and repeated requests to get a response to questions and needs. The ability to search for Caregivers by a particular zip code/city is useless as it pulls in names from much further away. CGs will often respond to your ad without even reading it and then you find out they won't work the shifts you outlined in the posting. For the most part, the CGs I spoke with were sincere and seemed legit. I do think CareLinx would be helping some of these folks if they coached them a bit on which photos are better to use if they want to present themselves well (initial impressions are everything and some people look like they have an attitude and I wouldn't want to work with them. How hard is it to get a good picture these days when everyone has a smart phone with camera!) Probably the biggest disappointment was how things worked with the tax paperwork. We had a mix of CL and non-CL caregivers so we processed some tax paperwork and what CL offered was useless. And that was one of the main reasons we had decided to try them. All that said, I would still let people know about CareLinx but with the caveats mentioned.
