# Wally Health : Tribeca studio (249 Church Street): Refused to examine a problem they caused." I wish I could give zero stars. I had a cleaning at Wally's Tribeca studio (249 Church Street) on Monday, October 5 at 3:30 PM, and the discomfort in my upper gum began immediately afterward; it hadn't been there before. When I returned today to have it looked at, I was told there was no doctor on site. I explained my gum was bleeding and asked for at least a hygienist to take a look , they refused. Instead, the staff was condescending, told me to "go see a dentist," and offered no apology or accountability whatsoever. To make it worse, their automated text support just redirects you to their app, where I can't even manage my own membership. The experience initially feels modern and polished, but the moment something goes wrong you're completely on your own. I can't recommend this place, and frankly it left me questioning the quality of the clinical staff here.

Trash. Went there for a cleaning. The hygienist a Spanish woman (wish I remembered her name)...She starts recommending other services before even opening my mouth. Wally is a setup to up sell you all day. At least make less obvious. The hygienst had a horrible attitude. the cleaning lasted 1 min and 15 seconds. That tells you all you need to now. She did nothing. I had to remind her I thought flossing is usually part of a cleaning. She said "Oh I can do that". Then she wanted me to leave without gargling or giving me any mouthwash. I had to ask for it and when she gave it to me she gave me a drop as if it cost the price of liquid gold or something. There was no sink to spit out in. I had to spit in the same cup she gave me to gargle in. Her response was "it is what it is" smh. Showed the exact lack of care they had for clients. DON'T DO IT...thats all I can say.

I just left Wally after my initial exam. I was told I had gum issues that “must be resolved before proceeding with anything else” including a teeth cleaning. So strange since my regular dentist said my gums were in great shape just a week ago. Wally wanted to charge me $440 to fix a non existent problem. On a side note I can see by the decaying state of their office that they need the extra funds. The staff was nice but spoke so softly that I couldn’t hear much of what they were saying except the up charge bit. Additionally, they were eager to make an appointment for the gum issue yet the cleaning could not be scheduled for two months afterwards. I asked about teeth whitening procedure and was told they order teeth whitening trays and you whiten them at home. Wally is a SCAM!

BEWARE! Leaving your card on file will leave you in the negative. Paid the $149. Went in for one cleaning. My card now has $750, $95 and $75 charges. My account is now -$32. And its the loneliest experience. They use AI for customer service. So they see real people, take real money but you dont get the respect of being treated like a human to have someone to talk to. Long story short….Wally is a AI dental service. Stay far away. Im waiting on my bank to get back to me about the disputed charges. *edit* I guess it would be fair to actually review the service. You walk in, and there is no reception area. You are greeted by a tablet on a stand that asks you to check in. There was a lil wait. You are then brought into a large room with multiple dental chairs and dividers. They check your ph balance and blood pressure. They take a 3d scan and x rays. All the machinery are on carts with wheels and they come to you. You do not move. Someone comes to you to discuss the xrays and possible cavities and such. Then you are seen by the hygienist who does what they call a cleaning. They tell you that there are unlimited cleanings and whitening, right? Well the whitening is something that you order when you leave, they dont actually do it there. And the cleaning really is more of a power wash. Just keep in mind though, the only way to speak to a human is to go to a location. There is no possible way to get an actual person to speak to on the phone.

I was genuinely appalled by my experience here and ended up leaving before receiving any dental care. I signed up because the concept sounded great: an affordable annual membership with unlimited cleanings and whitening. It seemed like a modern, convenient approach to dental care, and I was excited to try it. What I was not expecting was the actual environment. The practice is located inside a WeWork, so you first wait in the lobby of a shared office building for your dental appointment, which already felt strange. But the real shock was when I was brought back to the dental space. It was essentially a tiny WeWork suite with four dental chairs in one open room and no partitions or privacy between patients. Every chair was occupied. People were reclined with their mouths open having their teeth cleaned, with all of the normal sounds and sights of dental procedures happening just a few feet away from one another. I was then expected to sit in a chair directly next to other patients and begin my own appointment. I was incredibly uncomfortable. Beyond just being unpleasant, I could not understand how this setup was appropriate for a healthcare environment where patients may be discussing medical history, treatment, or other private information within earshot of everyone else in the room. I told the staff member who was going to take my X-rays that I was not comfortable receiving dental care in a completely open room with multiple other patients and no privacy whatsoever. I ultimately chose to leave without having anything done. I understand the idea of creating a lower-cost, streamlined dental model, but there is a huge difference between “modern and efficient” and eliminating basic patient privacy and comfort. Had I understood that this was essentially an open-room dental clinic operating out of a WeWork suite, I never would have signed up. The entire experience was bizarre and, frankly, appalling.

They market unlimited free cleaning but it’s just a fraud to get money from you in other ways. I paid, I arrived, and they now saying free cleaning is only free if they do t need to do deep cleaning for medical reason. So now I’m here, coming to clean my teeth and they declined to clean them because I need deep cleaning for extra fees (wow shocking, come for free cleaning and btw we can’t do free cleaning v till you pay for for deep cleaning). Which I agreed to do, to schedule a deep cleaning for later on (cause they said they cannot do it same day). But I also wanted to get what I came there for, regular cleaning till my deep cleaning in 4 weeks is scheduled. They declined. Great service. The dental hygienist here in 157 Columbus Ave, in NY was super rude. Answered me with disrespect, saying I should go to the website and look for that condition for free treatment only if there is no deep cleaning needed. But when I opened the website in front of her she couldn’t even show me where it is. On the contrary, every page that mentioned free cleaning was only mentioning that specific fact: FREE UNLIMITED CLEANING. nothing condition that anywhere. I asked for my money back.

Bad. I asked for a whitening they told me no, I have to wait. I was told I’d get an Amazon gift card for leaving feedback + an additional one for leaving a Google review but it’s been 2 weeks and I still haven’t received anything.

I went to Wally ONCE they proceeded to charge me $140 5 times for one meeting. They do not have human representatives. They only respond sporadically through text and I have not gotten a resolution to my issue.I have not settled this but I will confront their dentists at my next meeting. I have tried several times to get a clear answer on why i charged for work not done. I will be taking them to court if i do not get a refund or a proper response as to why i was charged repeat with no service done.
