I compare this to a dating website, they are trying to get as much money as they can for whoever and whatever posts profiles,,,very bad reviews from everywhere! Just interview a nanny and do a background check, cheaper and safer

I needed a cat sitter. 1. I dislike the fact that the need for a paid subscription is not made clear from the off. 2. I was inundated with offers. It is very difficult to find out how to close down an account. The only way to access the appropriate link was via the FAQs. The operation seems to me underhand and vaguely exploitative. I am not surprised at the considerable numbers of highly negative reviews.

I joined Care.com last year, paid for the upgraded account, paid for a background check for somone I found to come to my home and clean it. Set up the appointment with her not once but twice and both times she failed to call or show up. None of the money was refunded. I have a friend who had someone who was to come to her house yesterday from Care.com and this lady was a no call and a no show. I don't care if they have an A+ rating with the BBB this is a too common problem and they do not provide what they say that they will because of the ones they hire not being dependable.

Well judging from the other reviews i am certainly not the only one they have scammed! they took payments from me also, even though i cancelled my membership, their customer service is appalling and the emails they reply back to you seem to be sent by robots! My advise to anyone now would be to contact your bank and block this bunch of cowboys from ever getting their hands on your hard earned money again. I really hope someone closes this company down for all the misery it has caused people.

As stated in our Terms of Use and twice on the upgrade page when you had initially signed up, all of our subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. This is a setting you can edit at any point after upgrading in your Account & Settings page by selecting the Downgrade option. We apologize if you misunderstood our billing policies, but do hope you were able to find the care you were looking for! Best wishes!

You subscribe for a month, but then care.com wil autorenew charges WITHOUT notifying you!!!! I found out my account was being charged for 18 months, without ANY notification/receipt. They send spam emails every day but can’t send customers a receipt? Why? Dishonest!

All of our subscriptions auto renew until set to cancel and this is clearly outlined at the time of purchase before selecting a subscription. At Care.com, we know that the process of finding the perfect caregiver is no easy task and we set out to make that experience as helpful and seamless as possible. We cannot know for certain which stage of the search/hiring process each customer is in, so we put the control in our member’s hands to inform us when they have fulfilled their caregiving needs.
