This company is a scam! Posted a job with very clear details, received 12 applications, upgraded my account, not even ONE of the applicants actually fit the details I posted. Now the company refuse to refund my money. Pure waste of time and money!

I posted a job have had many replies sadly i cannot respond as i sent a message to care .com to ask about the cancellation policy before i signed up, Firstly i had an automated message stating they would respond within 24 hours. that was 2 days ago NO RESPONSE. NO MONEY from me . So if your a person looking for work i,m sorry i can,t employ you you can thank this shoddy company . if they do not have the courteousy to reply to a genuine inquiry i,ll go elsewhere.

They should change their name to DontCare.com or CareOnlyAboutYourMoney.com Misleading, get you in supposedly "free" just to later find out you can almost do nothing until you pay for a membership. Lame and poor, look somewhere else.

They are very expensive for the little they do. Beware their auto-renew which is not made clear and when you try to cancel your membership they make it extremely difficult. I am an IT professional and it took me numerous attempts to navigate their website to cancel, even then you cant cancel you can only downgrade Echo others - use facebook or others. Don't get involved with these people

The auto renew policy is a JOKE. They sign you up for auto renew and by the way, they don't handle any of the disputes if you signed up through the Care.com app. Apple handles those or your bank, two parties, in my opinion that shouldn't be involved. Care.com literally shunned me away saying that they can't help at all. Then had the audacity to say that a supervisor "might" be able to call me back but there was no guarantee. My bank and Apple only handled reversing a few of the charges, but Care.com collected money for months of time that I was not using the service. Literally hate companies like this, especially when they don't take responsibility. Is it so hard to look up my member login dates to see that I didn't login the entire year? HELLO. Totally rubs me the wrong way and nowadays, I suggest going through Facebook or NextDoor for babysitter/housekeeper recommendations to avoid the auto renewal crap you'll face with Care.com

My elderly mother somehow ended up with a premium account whilst looking for a catsitter for a few days. It ended up costing her £35 and she couldn't work out how to end the subscription. Now that I've ended it for her I have to say it makes you jump through hoops to downgrade to a basic membership. How on earth a site can justify charging its clients £35 merely to find service providers which they could do on Google I do not know. My mother contacted them for a response and did not get one. Shocking customer service. I have requested a refund for previous months and expect the courtesy of a response with that actioned.

Basically a scam, since there is no HELPFUL customer service and dumb users looking for sitters don't know how to use the site, so you end up using credits on duplicate posts that are inactive and there's nothing you can do about it. The site is very unfriendly to use for sitters looking for work and you're placed in a very constrained path to find work and there is no flexibility on how to search for work. A complete waste of time and money, especially since sitters have to pay to find work and users looking for sitters are allowed to be dumb and waste everyone's time and money without any repercussions. DON'T USE!

I read all the bad reviews and I am sure the users are not reading carefully when they sign up lol! I am a professional house cleaner and all my clients are from care.com I signed up for the premium account where you can have a background check and DMV record available for potential clients to review because, let's be honest, do you want anyone left alone in your home without knowing who they are as people? I don't! The only thing I've told from potential clients that have contacted me through personal email is that they reply but I see their message days later. Probably server issues of care.com? Say I sent a message Monday, the client receives it until a week later 😬😳, please check your server capabilities! We providers are loosing potential jobs!
