My seller's accepted an offer from a buyer who used Cardinal Financial, Armando Gamboa was their loan officer. He gave us a pre-approval letter and said it was a "slam dunk" He does not return calls. They did not update us for weeks at a time. They never closed the deal. Kept us going in circles & would say, "all is good but we need more time because they were back logged". DO NOT USE THIS LENDER.

they had us thinking us we going to close on the loan for our home 3 different times then at the end they said they couldnt do the loan. thanks to them we lost the home we wanted and busted our butts for all of the paperwork.I WILL NOT EVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

If I could rate this company 0 stars I would. My experience with a Honolulu Hawaii location had a good beginning which started in March of 2020. The loan I was doing was expected to be done by the 30 of April and as you know it did not close. To be fair they apparently was having difficulties with the lender. Thing is all I asked was keep me informed. I never expected it would take a week or so for any call back which did happen several times. Shortly after April 30th closing date I attempted to contact the loan officer and never got a call back for approximately a week later. I also tried to call the insurance company that I was to transfer my home and car insurance. It seems the two company’s work together since I never got a call back until the loan officer called and told me he will call the insurance agent to please give me a call. Well long story short I cancelled the loan process in June and was told by the loan officer via email if I cancel he will contact the new homeowner insurance agent, which he assisted in getting; to cancel my newly acquired policies. And I have the email on file which states this. I also got an email from his assistant stating if I continue with the loan they could be ready to close on or around the 16/17 June which I declined. I next received a letter dated June 15 from Johnson City, TN stating that the loan was denied due to INCOME INSUFFICIENT FOR AMOUNT OF CREDIT REQUESTED and EXCESS OBLIGATIONS IN RELATIONS TO INCOME. So how was this possible to receive this Denial Letter when In fact I have the email stating they were able to close by the 16/17 June? Well end result the homeowners policies were cancelled and I am in the process of taking this matter up the that company as well. I just want you all to know do not deal with this company. They do not seem to operate on the up and up. I do not require any response from Cardinal Financial as my loan process is no longer with them. I do want my experience known to everyone else to beware.

This is the worst experience I have ever had in either applying for a mortgage or refinancing. The people involved (except for the loan officer - D McKnight) were completely incompetent. They requested information in a piece meal manner and some time, requested the information multiple times. Also, they did not even review carefully what was provided and requested the same info again. Two delays in closing and a day after the second scheduled closing, they asked again for another piece of information. I just wasted the last six weeks with these people. After all this torture, I told them I am no longer interested in working with them. Stay away@

DO NOT USE This company!! We had a horrible experience with them! They strung us along and had us with a very inexperienced Lender that made promises that he couldn't keep. His name is Terrence Phagoo​. We waited a whole month and in the end they said they could not help us! Terrible customer experience.

Terrible lender. I had to follow up with them every step of the way. 2 days before closing they are asking me for more documentation, and I am closing remotely. We had 45 days to get this done! Super unprofessional.

My advice is RUN. Don’t do any business with this company. Almost 2 moths after we got pre qualify for the 2nd home purchase, several extensions of the closing date they still ask the same or updated documents over, and over. No one answered for calls or emails for days. Our contract expires in 2 days with the sellers and they need more papers. We own our company. It seems they are not really know how to deal with it. The seller got tired of this nonsense and won’t extend the contract. We have a bill from our accountant, but losing the purchase of the house. I don’t understand how this company is even in the business. We should of read the reviews. It was all for nothing. I DON’T recommend! Like: Really don’t!
