I took the key to Batteries Plus to have the key cut and fob programmed and the tip of the key broke off during the cutting process. The key blank is made out of aluminum instead of brass. The key could not be programmed either. I was told to take the key to the car dealership and let them try to program the fob and install a new key blank and cut the key. So I'm not sure if I wasted money until the Ford dealership tries it. I will update my review after the key is repaired.

We took it to a local lock shop and got it keyed and programmed for $38. All works except for the remote start. Going to keep it because it's a spare.

The key blade programmed successfully. However the remote did not. I returned it for exchange

I got it put in truck, sent to dealer but keys were not coded, had to buy new keys.

Came in a timely manner. Took to local Autozone to have key cut to the original. They couldn't do it. Ace hardware said no problem so went there and had it cut. Didn't work in door or ignition. They ordered me another one they guaranteed would work. Yet to be determined.
