Overall it works well as a resource but the one issue is that often coach contacts are up to date when comparing mens vs women's coaches and this would help greatly.
Response from CaptainUFeb 14, 2020
Hi JM - Thank you for your honest feedback! We try hard to keep coach contacts as accurate as possible, but they may not be 100% accurate all the time (for example, if a coach leaves a school). We're glad to hear CaptainU has been a useful resource for your recruiting process!

I think my daughter is probably too young for her CaptainU account to be effective. She doesn't have an ACT score, yet, for example. And she's only just now accumulating high school video footage to share. In addition, I sometimes find that the coaches listed are no longer the actual coaches at the college/university. Of the four coaches my daughter has emailed through CaptainU, only one has even opened and read the email. I wonder if an email just sent from her personal google account wouldn't accomplish the same thing.

Hi S. - Even without an ACT score yet, CaptainU is a great place to organize all your daughter's highlight and skills videos and continue building out her recruiting resume. Thank you for the feedback on the challenge you experienced with coach contacts. We strive to keep coach contacts as up to date as possible, but in some cases, it may not be 100% accurate all the time if a coach leaves a school.

Why can't we communicate directly with CU? I have questions and there is no one to answer them. You have to do better!

Great means of getting my daughter connected with Colleges. Exciting when seeing Colleges check her profile.

Colleges hardly look at the profile until weeks later
