Dry cork and slow delivery
I had to initially call about the order as it was late. I was told that with the warmer fall weather it was going to come later in October. This was fine but I wish there had been communication prior to me reaching out. When the package arrived we immediately opened the bottle of white Bordeaux but the cork broke off 2/3 of the way down the neck of the bottle. I was advised that the wine should still be good. I'm not sure how to get to the wine other than drive the remaining dried cork into the bottle where there will be shards in the wine. At $300 for this bottle I shouldn't need to use extraordinary measures to drink it. I have a wine cellar and I've opened up plenty of bottles with dry corks. From my experience less than 10% are drinkable. I responded to the email received that I will treat this bottle like bad fruit at the grocery store. I won't keep pursuing a resolution but I won't be back. Cheers
